AQ release.

Recommended Posts

Just in case people haven't seen - you can find this https://elysium-project.org/timeline

I'm not sure if i'm the only one here thinking about this, but doesn't February sounds too early? I mean after Christmas and New Year that gives only 2months for guilds to get their raid roster, ranks and just overall preparation for AQ. This seems way too quick specially for guilds that haven't been able to acquire their old roster or need to look to recruit for 40man raids.

But it's not just that which i'm worried about, I've never seen a working version of AQ40 from any server and I didn't see any PTR testing? With the Fresh Server being made does this allow enough time to get everything sorted, playerbase and admin. I'm just worried that it is rushed. Personally I would easily wait another month to allow fights like C'thun (which is hard to fix) to be more blizzlike.

This isn't bashing the admins or anything i'm just wondering what other members of the community, from the more hardcore, better geared guilds to those who are still clearing BWL or just finished clearing.

Also what is the chance of being in February? Just wondering due to the "to be confirmed". Any word on PTR for AQ40?

Feb for AQ is pvp Nost. PvE gets BWL in January.

But that aside, yes it will be difficult to muster up a solid raid core in a short amount of time. I'd rather have the content available though, even if only a few guilds can crack at it right away.

AQ was PTR tested prior to the nost shutdown, I did not participate in the test myself, so i cannot comment on how blizzlike it was. just that it was tested, feedback was given and work most probably done

Edit:

After reading the nost forum, seems like only half the bosses were tested

Yeah, and this is kind of why i'm ... "worried". AQ and Naxx need extensive testing to be blizzlike. Specially the elemental damage of Huhu, C'thun mechanics. If Huhu can crit/crush with her sting like Ragnaros on Nostalrius :/

Don't forget War Effort, it adds couple months maybe. Although the faster the better so we don't see everyone running with Scarab mount.

The war effort will indeed give them some extra time to fine tune and test internally. Just hope it will be enough

If war effort is "blizz-like" mats-requirements we'll blast thru it in 2-4 weeks time given the HUGE population of the server. Either way, AQ-release in February does not mean it will actually open in February. More likely in Mars or later.

February is not soon enough for AQ.

We were waiting for AQ for a few months before nost shutdown.

We (some guilds) did a lot of testing of AQ on the PTR prior to shutdown and it was amazing. very few if any bugs. mechanics were great.

I cant speak for all guilds but ours has around 70+ returning members and are dying to get into AQ. February is not soon enough.

Besides, It will be the war effort first. probably a few months at least of it before the gates are opened.

So you have time to catch up. :viannen_12:
