The internet should pool its resources to invent a way to trace DDoSers....

Recommended Posts

Of course! Murder is the only possible answer to this! Christ...

Literally, of what use to the world are these neckbeards? I would not mind seeing them face down in puddles of their own blood. Funny 4chan memes could be made of pictures of their dead bodies. "WHEN U REALIZE YOUR ANONYMITY HAZ BEEN COMPRIMIZED"

I'm not sure you understand DDoS attacks.

I understand they're not traceable with current technology. They hypothetically could be traced at some point in the future though if greater technologies (when Denmark gets TrollTrace online) are developed.

They are still attacks being carried out by individuals. If they could be traced, they could be stopped.

The reason ddos is so effective is because it's hard to trace and finding the source doesn't do much.

What do you mean it doesn't do much? It is in fact illegal, and if it had say a 10 year prison sentence attached to it, how many of these DDoSing faggot kids do you think we'd be getting. I think the amount of the world's population willing to risk going to jail just in order to piss some people off on the internet is very small.

Blah blah blah nerd rage.

Hey, for a more entertaining angle of conversation, who do you think is responsible for these attacks?  Put on your tin foil hats and imagine with me.

Venomously pro-Legion fanboys?  Or could it be BLIZZARD THEMSELVES?

I'm going with the former.  The latter isn't bloody likely, considering Blizzard allows people to openly endorse this private server on their own forum.  They're obviously tolerating this project as a means to gauge public interest in classic.

But the irrational venom on either side of the fan base is a clear motive.

The only way one could hope to trace it is with NSA-level website tracking, since most DDOSes are done through subscriptions to websites.

I would actually be down for that.  Treat those sites like child porn sites, track everyone.  Send them to ваууing jail.

Half my PVP experience in Cata through WoD revolved around myself and others getting hit offline during RBGs, setting up different proxies, making new Skype accounts, resetting my IP.  Totally toxic and horrible.

The only downside would be that groups like Anonymous DDOS ISIS websites or KKK sites.  Honestly, the US government should be DDOSing ISIS sites instead of relying on a bunch of kids living in their parents' basements in Texas, but don't get me started.
