Stormhart 12 Report post Posted December 19, 2016 (edited) Spreading your talents across all trees your first levels, because you are a noob and you think you'll be albe to fill them all. Realizing your equipment is broke and you are broke as well. Going around zones, looking for suitable quests. Thinking you can easily climb that slope (you climped a steeper one in a previous zone), but you can't. Buying gear from the AH only to realize the next quest you finish rewards something even better than the item you bought. Walking on the road and ducking behind trees when you see the enemy. Fearing/Mind Controlling people of the boat from booty bay to ratchet. Going on a 20 minute hike to do Scarlet Monastry as Alliance. Dying in the Undercity elevator. Furio 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2016 (edited) Getting into Wailing Caverns the first time - wow this place is a maze. Similar feelings when you get to Gnomereggan. Coming to Hillsbrad foothills as early 20 and having to deal with 30tish allies ganking, becouse you share a zone with them. Getting Whirlwind weapon as warrior - "damn i am op now". Marathon from Hammerfall in Arathi to Kargath in Badlands as Horde. Kiting Kazzak or Twilight Corrupter (not in game yet but was possible) to Stormwind. Awesome quest chains like Linken chain, Tirion Fordring chain, Scholomamce chain, saving princess chain in BRD, Ony attunement chains, Blasted Lands demon chain - they literally take you around the world, some make you visit instances multiple times. Strahl 2 Report post Posted December 20, 2016 (edited) rolling paladin because you saw a video of him doing 250dmg per hit. compare that to your 5 in starting areas. palas seemed good rerolling hunter after getting outpace 4 mobs to 1 by him rerolling lock again after making it to lvl 10 with hunter and realising that you have to take care of your pet. too much responsibility stuck with lock cause you don't want to reroll again as you are already too invested... at lvl 23 Edited December 20, 2016 by Travolta

gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted December 20, 2016 Die at the top or bottom of Darkshore, and enjoy a 5 minute corpse run because there's only 1 graveyard in the entire ваууing zone. Good times.
Denbts 3 Report post Posted December 20, 2016 Spending 10 months waiting for Nost to return, only to end up running laps in IF while shitposting in guild chat the day after launch. Taking twice as long as you should in STV because every time you get ganked you waste the next hour trying to get revenge. Hitting 40, buying a mount, and realizing that Tanaris still sucks even with the speed increase. Feeling your blood pressure spike instinctively every time somebody asks about Korrak in AV.
Anx1ous 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2016 - Not being able to afford all your spells. Reminds me of Everquest (you have no idea what a corpse run is until you play that game lol). - Dungeons requiring CC instead of facerolling everything. - Unique mechanics like kiting drak. - Worthwhile things to contest and having to run to instances that generates epic world PVP and builds friendships. (BRM, elementals, tubers, etc). - Unique and powerful items and mobs (Brokentooth for example). Not just reskin clones that you transmog anyway. - Actually being able to have fun in BG's with consumables and other items. - Actually playing in the world instead of standing still queuing for instances. (except BG's, which i've always opposed. The "pvp system" should be rational in the world.) - Created when Blizzard expressed creative genius and love for the game instead of soulless marketing gimmicks. - Created when Blizzard expressed creative genius and love for the game instead of soulless marketing gimmicks. Anx1ous 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2016 Spending 3 months stuck on four horsemen raiding multiple nights a week even with the Burning crusade launch right around the corner because the raid content in vanilla is so darn challenging and enjoyable. When the thrill of a single boss victory overwhelmed the agony of the 100+ attempts ending in defeat Molten Core swim team, nuff said. Having to actually travel the continent and zones to enter instances rather than standing in a city waiting in a group forming queue.... Vanilla is what WOW was meant to be.
Aveton 8 Report post Posted December 20, 2016 (edited) Wasted almost HOUR to successfuly kill Hogger and loot the item. Sold 6-slot bag for 6 silver and feel myself rich. See thousands of low levels and a bit of 60s. When you obtain rare armor or weapon in Vanilla you feel value of it and you're happy. When you obtain epic item you be like "OMG! OMG!". For comparison in Legion all have full epic sets, epic weapon, epic mounts, epic фекал and this is not epic at all. Fk me darkshore is the worst zone to level. Just one long stretch, all you do is walk! Never again. Well worth walking to Westfall instead.

gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) Where 10 people wait for 1 boar to respawn so they can finish their quest And that boar only has like a 10% chance of dropping a liver of which you need 8 to complete the quest /wrists Honestly, the bad graveyard is the only downside to Darkshore. I love the zone otherwise; it has a ваууton of quests to do. Way more than Westfall or Loch Modan. Oh, and the other фекал thing about Darkshore is that one quest that has you swim out and loot the turtle corpse...ваууing thing has a 5 minute respawn time so there's always like 10-15 people hovering around it waiting to loot it as soon as it spawns. Ended up skipping that фекал. Edited December 21, 2016 by gotmilk0112

Denbts 3 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 Yeah that's one nice thing about darkshore, tons of quests. Westfall always tapers off around level 16 or so.
