Roll on Nost now or wait for new server

Recommended Posts

Honestly I think that if you have the time to no life on the launch of the new server you can also no life on the older ones and catch up, since there isnt always new content being released everyday so you have time to catch up until AQ comes out.

Play on both servers. If one goes down for whatever reason, you'll have something to do on the other!

Crying about :meanwords: on the internet -- how typically millennial of you, millennial.

Feel free to try to take back those "natural resources" that you were "deprived" of.  :3

The fact that this idiot is older than me is hilarious. Acting like a child, but to secure his fragile masculinity he needs to reply like an asshole to everyone on the forums.

I prefer to spend my time replying to the intellectual individuals on these forums. I will no longer respond to your posts/replys.

@OP the average time it took players to reach 60 on the current Nost PVP server is 10 days 20 hours or something close to that. (260 hours total)  So the 1-2 weeks for 60 is for the no-life try hards only.  Expect around 1.5 months (that is playing around 4 hours a day for the average leveler). Only 1/3 of the active population hit 60.  Hitting 60 does not = geared out.

You will get geared out much faster on Nost PVP compared to Elysium PVP simply due to the fact of supply vs demand on all gear.

On Nost - PVP you'll be grouping with people that have some / a lot/ most / all the gear they need from a specific instance/raid more often than somebody that has green gear.  Leaving the amount of people needing each item that drops much lower, raising your odds for loot per item dropped substantially.  Having ZG out, and BWL allows for more loot per week as well.   Instanced Raid Bosses Available per week:  36.   (ZGx2, Onxyia x2, MC x1, BWL x1)

On Elysium - PVP you'll be grouping with people that have a much more demand for all gear items that drop, and loot competition vs raid item drops per week will leave you at a disadvantage for the first 3-6 months of raiding.   Instance Raid Bosses Available per week: 12.  (Onxyia x2, MCx1).

Make your own decision about where to play.  Though this imaginary "catch-up mountain" is nothing more than a slight hill to walk up.  An example of how fast you get gear on Nost, look at my alt druid, which I hit 60 on March 15th:  Overhealer  19 days later (4/4/2016) I had all items I needed outside of BWL except a neck piece from ZG and shoulders from MC.   On the flip-side, with progression raiding on my warrior (a day one toon) I could go months without an upgrade.

It's not a matter of "catch-up", its not a matter of economy (since inflation doesn't effect vendor gold sinks, so inflation makes your items sell for more on AH while making vendor items cheaper in return), its a matter of what your personal goals are.   Set yourself some goals, see if they are realistic and obtainable, and you should be able to answer your question yourself.

I think this post is the one that is going to keep me going on nost pvp instead of the new pvp server. I was worried about gear progression for my character and being in a constant state of trying to play catch up but this makes a lot of sense. That and if any of you have leveled a char since the servers reopened dealing with literally every mob 1-30 being camped 24/7 is getting pretty old I don't want to start over on that.

Start fresh IMO.

I have a 60 on the old PVP server, leveling up after the ZG patch was pretty rough, there was a ton of unnecessary ganking and all the guilds/raids were already established and fulled geared.

I started fresh on the PVE server recently.  The server is great, but I need a PVP server, and for me the fresher the better.

Also, props on the repping Richard D. James.

.... What u gonna experience on fresh is pure pain. I bet it will take some people 1-2 hrs to hit lvl 2 on the first day, 20 hrs to get lvl 10. First 2 months you wont enjoy lvling. ...

So much this.

Also makes me wonder how stressful it must be for those big-name guilds that have to hustle and get their guild charter before anyone steals their name.
