How do people have negative rep?

I get that you earn rep when somebody likes your post, but how are people obtaining negative rep?

Some weeks ago it was possible to down vote a comment.

If you said something some fools didn't want to hear, you got down voted.

To be fair, most of the people with negative rep actually deserve it. Form what I've seen, anyway.

There was also the issue of buttblasted kiddies going through your post history and downvoting every single one of your posts.

They removed the reputation feature entirely after a couple weeks; not sure why it's back.

WELL...

What about all the mass of absolute retards on the forum. I loved stomping these guys and they would always respond with tears and -1's. I would always be getting +1's but there were so many shitters that I would end up in the negative anyway. I liked that. That was basically affirmation of a job well done AND it was fun.

NOW...

When I stomp on these scrubs, they still cry, but I end up getting positive reps from the people who hate them aswell. I will be going into the positive reputation soon at this rate and all my good work is going into the shitter.

CAN WE PLEASE GET THE DOWNVOTE BACK ASWELL PLEASE?!
