Paklad 1 Report post Posted January 15, 2017 In light of recent events (moving away from nost core and nost members leaving), i think it's enough to re-open this discussion. Elysium had a command to stop xp before the merge so it's possible they're not fundamentally opposed to adding something like this. The unblizzlike angle really can't be argued since there are so many "fixes" implemented already that are unblizzlike it shows that the staff is willing to adapt to the times. As i see it, a stop xp command will do nothing but grow low level brackets by making twinking more accessible to less informed players, people without a main or a friend to give them runs, and levelers that just want to stop in these brackets for some time (maybe run a few dungeons so they can be on more of an equal footing with twinks). In my opinion more competition is better, if you increase the number of twinks then chances are you'll get more decent players coming in. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Specifically for LFR- hurts the community feeling, flying mounts- kills world pvp. These two things are at the core of what vanilla is and should be maintained. A stop xp command actually adds to those two qualities in my opinion by growing the community and allowing more world pvp (it's a lot of fun trying to fight players 10, 20, or even 30 levels higher than you). The non-blizzlike angle is just repeating rhetoric that isn't prevalent to a private server where the admins have shown time and time again that they will make non-blizzlike changes. I suggest you work on your independent thinking skills along with your reading comprehension, there's more to my post than 1 sentence. This really doesn't impact me much so i'm out. If the CURRENT staff says no I'd suggest you guys just drop it and move on, it's not that much more work to plan ahead your gear runs and exploration.
