I have seen over 15 of these. There is no possible way people are legitimately finding this weapon. Please investigage your servers?

The drop chance isnt that low at all.

 

Also its blue swords from a 40-47 instance. You can easily get that sword while leveling.

Either with luck in one run or just in multiple.

 

Still doesn't make it supposed to be rare or freeloot.

i just want you to reallly think about what you are saying. Two swords one with a 1.72% drop rate and another with a 2.02% drop rate are not that rare. I'm really picturing you thinking this one out. It's always the anime weebs who are braindead.

Those are way off. The drop rates in Atlas Loot (in game) are much more accurate. In all of Vanilla and Burning Crusade, I've seen them combined maybe twice.
Sang'thraze is 2.10%, Jang'thraze is 1.72%. One would expect to see Sang'thraze 1 time every 48 runs, and see Jang'thraze 1 time every 58 runs. It's reasonable to assume you would never see both of them drop in the same run (probabilty of 0.036%), so one would need to run through ZF about 106 times before having a reasonable chance of creating Sul'thraze. You could find both pieces after 20 runs, or it could take 200 runs, but you're not going to see that in 1 or 2 runs.

It's not a current mod; the mod is from 2006.  Did anyone read the comments on the link saying it's a 10% drop rate? The people posting there are saying that it's nowhere near 10%.

And that is why I've only seen it a couple times. It's extremely hard to get. Blizz (in 2005-2006) expects you to run a dungeon 5 times to get the blue gear, but you'll need to run 50+ times if you want purple gear. To get a sense of how Vanilla worked, look at the effort required to turn the blue D1 armor sets into the purple D2 armor sets. It's a huge investment of time and money. Blizz never gave purple gear to people who ran a dungeon 2 or 3 times and then moved on. Look at the drop rate of Ironfoe from the end boss of BRD. It was less than 1%, and I've never personally seen it drop. The effort required to craft dark iron gear is ridiculous, and that's just for blue gear. Purple is an order of magnitude rarer and harder to get.

Idk, back when nostalrius was still up (original, not elysium combination) I died 3 runs total and got both swords, even one double. Pretty sure it has a quite high droprate. Or all privates have wrong values for it. Don't really care.

I have farmed "Sul'Thraze The Lasher" on Retail within less than 10 runs. One of the 1 hd swords even droped twice.

You are either lucky or completely screwed, RNG is a bitch :)

On Retail in 2005 I saw both drop in the same run, though a rogue took the second one from me like an ass.   I spent about 20 runs getting the other one, from level 44 to 50.

This server has had a run of double bindings in MC.  Does that mean it is broken?  No.   Just seems you are salty.

I have seen the sword from the last boss drop twice in a row. But I still dont have the one from the first boss after 4 ZF runs, feelsbad man. It´s not really useful for me I think anyway, since the 2.60 speed of the epic might not be the best for arms warriors.

Please make a bug tracker post with your evidence and the QA team will verify it. Maybe the drop rate is wrong, maybe it isn't. However, in all such cases it is important to remember that all our realms are heavily populated, meaning that items that were only rarely seen back in 2005 or 2006, can be seen more often here. Which is why we need more evidence than just a feeling or a possibly hazy memory.
