Wow so much butthurt here it's amazing. Fact is valuable boes benefit everyone rolling equally, either by equipping it as a tank, or selling it for gold to then buy boes for yourself. Casters can potentially buy a strong wand, bloodvine. Priests can buy true faith, melee can get devilsaur or Lionheart. This is not a ninja at all, ninja is master looting something to yourself not stated beforehand, needing last second after everyone greed's.

I'm not trying to justify my greed. Just saying that  rolling this item is the same kind of greed for tank as it is for me.

I read couple of forums from the old days

the general rule is (if no rules were established prior to party / raid) all boe epics / blues are Need (to avoid drama, and confusion)

A likely scenario is that a player will sell the boe epic anyway and buy few of the cheaper gear pieces for himself for a better overall upgrade (which would be a smart thing to do) - hence this "need all boe epics/rares" rule exists.

I don't doubt that the tank would have equipped the shoulders, but it's irrelevant.

You could have congratulated him and be the first to buy it from him with a bro deal party discount

You all rolled Need on the item and lost the roll - I see no reason to name&shame Beerwizard.

this isnt right ban, BOEs can be need and sell for gold, if any 1 crying for boe loot then he/she is lazy to farm gold. If BOE is not need roll item then blame blizz why dont made it bop item. In any dungeon BOE is free to roll for anyone. Blizz made it to farm gold who can swap their gear simply {sell and buy}. Peoples do raids for bops and also some boes which sell good, if ban come for farming boes then no one will host dungeons and raids or gold gdkps and reserved raids will happen.

Whats the point on the Greed button? Just remove it from boe drops to get rid of any confusion

Does this only apply to BIS gear or also twink gear?  I'm all for people getting upgrades but I understand the other perspective.  No matter what you say, someones in game capital is increased if they get a BOE epic.  That includes equipping them.  You can't expect people to be socialists when the game isn't at all catered that way.

Need on anything BOE. Greens, Orbs, Epics, it doesn't matter. If they want to equip it they can buy it from the winner.

If someone needs a BOP he obviously would've reserved that item (everyone else passes)

If its not reserved it should be needed by the disenchanted and /roll for
