its gold value is equal to all but for the person who can equip it, it has an extra value of being an 'imediately' usable PVE upgrade ... so you could argue that they have more than just a gold value for it.. making it have more value to them than to others?

Pre raid BiS gives you the real upgrade only at the moment when you fight the raid boss. For 5 ppl dungeons you simply will be overvcapped. Also no one knows if you will ever raid as a tank. You can respec, you guild could be full of tanks or you can simply stop playing before raiding. Anyway you won't get any real upgrade right at the moment you equip it.

''i need end game bops to DE because i value lvl'ing my enchanting more or equal to how much you value getting full PVE BIS and moving on to the next tier when it comes out'' .

Now i start thinking that its impossible to prove smth to ppl like you :)

I'm sure that this has been said before, but I can't be arsed to read through 20 pages of comments. Anyway, what is the problem with needing on a valuable BoE that you can't use? It's a BoE, you can sell it on the AH, you can buy it on the AH. If Stockade Pauldrons are worth 300g (idk the actual price), then winning the item in a roll is essentially winning 300g. The mage can sell it on the AH for 300g, the warrior saves himself 300g by not having to buy it from the AH. If you really need a BoE item, buy it from the AH. If you're not going to do that, why should you be more entitled to it than anyone else?

Same can be said about Arcanist Belt tho.

You can say the same thing about Arcanist Belt, but it wouldnt really be the same thing. Arcanist Belt drops from Molten Core trash mobs. Someone could go to Molten Core with the intention of getting Arcanist Belt, because that is where it drops (quite regularly too). Nobody goes to LBRS to farm Stockade Pauldrons or any other world drop. If you really want Stockade Pauldrons, the only reasonable course of action is to farm/save gold and to buy it in trade chat or the AH.

But hey, if people started running MC with group loot and without pre-defined loot rules and a T1 BoE that I could use would drop, I would expect everyone to smash that need button.

Well thats because you're a reasonable person. But if you actually read through these pages, you would be laughing and crying simultaneously.

It's funny, but just recently I had a similar situation with a BoP mana potion recipe in a dungeon (Scholomance it was I think), it didn't appear for people to roll on, but then I saw it in the corpse loot list, and then it said "everyone passed" on it, yet nobody could loot it. Weird stuff.

Have had a similar issue with Corruptor's scourgestones, they show up in the loot table, but no can roll on them or even loot them, maybe it has something to do with wiping?

It is exactly the same thing as a mage needing on Foror's.
