Current situation on Elysium fresh realm

More like 45-55 as the website suggest :):)

Thats the ratio between the factions, though 75%+ of the alliance are already lvl 60, so we who had a life are stuck with the 9-1 ratio to level with therefor the situation of leveling on Elysium Fresh realm

it was nasty at time for me but doable nonetheless, 42 mage now

Grats man, i´m 33 with my druid atm, found this little "Hidden" location in Desolace where I am farming scorpions/Basilisks, going to be a long road to 40+ :-) I still get ganked quiet alot but atleast I get a few mobs once in a while

Yeah, no matter what anecdotal numbers you come up with.  When I reached about 25 on Nostalrius PvP and moved over to ashenvale, I was disheartened to see my lil elf village was a goddamn horde orgy.  Was ugly as hell.  Moving over to human side, wasn't nearly as bad.  Sure, horde would come to duskwood to be giant dildos, but there was so many more alliance, it was tolerable.  So try different zones.

One thing for sure, Leveled Ally will rarely help their own faction.  They're gonna sit in cities and spam for their dungeons/raids.  If they land at a FP and see everyone's getting ganked, AT THEIR OWN FP, they'll run away.  That's just the way it is.  Try to find a guild where people give a crap about something other than themselves and goodluck.

That's just you, you're obviously BIASed. I leveled an alliance too (49 atm) and when I was in STV I saw atleast as many alliance as horde, only problem I had was the fact that alliance never helped when I was ganked.

Horde do somehow seem to outnumber alliance anywhere from 2-1 to 4-1 at times, but I think a part of it is also the horde base placement.  In many zones like Desolace and STV the Horde have multiple outposts directly adjacent to quest hubs, and the paths between those bases take them through additional quest hubs.  This causes travelling horde to be walking by all the time which leads to more ganking.  Then there are zones like stonetalon, thousand needles, and shimmering flats that either have more quests for horde or are just more accessible for horde due to again, flightpath and base placement.  I'm not complaining though, the alliance have zones like redridge, wetlands, and ashenvale that cater more to alliance in terms of available quests and base location, it's just that alliance has its heyday earlier and then horde have some logistical perks in the 30-40 range.

The other big part is the Alliance attitudes towards world PvP.  I quest with 2 friends and the three of us often end up getting in fights with small groups of horde.  The thing is, other horde will flock from all parts of the zone to start a rumble and horde that just happen to be in the area will often switch from questing to brawling at the drop of a hat.  Alliance seem to farm a bit more and try to ignore the horde if they can.  I know our group had a a 15-20 man raid come up against us in Hillsbrad after only about 10 minutes of fighting, but despite the fact that the chat log was absolutely stuffed with alliance complaining about being ganked we couldn't get our counter-raid over 10 people, and it was only that large for about five minutes.  Basically, Horde are red mobs with a 5-10 minute aggro duration and alliance are yellow mobs with a very small aggro range.

I'll say two things though Zauhet, one is that it does tend to level out a bit once you hit 45+.  Instead of tons of disparate questing areas everyone does tend to flow through places like Tanaris, Ungoro, and the plaguelands, so finding people to group with for protection is easier.

Two, even if you just aren't having fun with the current zones, once you hit level 35 you can do the bulk of your leveling in dungeons.  There are nonstop SM farms going on which can easily take you to level 40+, Then you have Ulda or RFD to run into the mid 40s, then it's ZF, Mara, ST, and BRD all the way through the 50s.  You actually gain a pretty decent amount of EXP in dungeons, and you come out with some pretty great level 60 starter gear.  Not to mention the BoE and trash drops mean you'll be well on your way to buying your epic mount.  I know I used to make between 25 and 100g from a full BRD clear depending on how lucky I got with drops.  Even if you have no luck with BoE drops, some of those blue weapons from bosses vendor for 5g or so and it adds up over time.

There's one great bonus to the struggle to 60, you meet awesome people and build up your friend list.  I have an addon to put notes on friends and I already have a good variety of tanks, healers, and other world PvPers who gave me the OK to call them in when there's a good fight going on.  Back in retail vanilla the war for the contested zones got real, but it was mostly orchestrated by individuals with a knack for getting other people to group up and take the fight to the Horde.  Even if that isn't you, pay attention to the guilds that spam their "world pvp focus" recruitment adds and send their members a /w to let them know when a zone is being overrun by the Horde.  Be the change you want to see in the game.

hahahaha :D True story. I started as horde but switched to ally at 19 lvl. Well, its tough on Anathema :P

im thinking of leaving Elysium cuz of this, it's really annoying, I dont mind some PvP from time to time, but getting ganked by a full grp of Horde is annoying. So my question is how is Anathema or am I forced to go to the PvE realm?

Oh I'm not, but I've been through it.  I spent A LOT of time grinding.  STV was always the worst for Ally.  Desolace you can usually grind well right below the FP.  Also good grind spots: feathermoon island and the adjacent waters for elementals.  Azshara- as far east as you can get by the shore, no one goes out there to mess with you.  When you make it to Silithus, practically no one want to mess around anymore, but if they do you can grind far Northeast, as no one goes over there.

The flip side:

60s will help you and or kill gankers for you.

You act like it's so bad. It really isn't and I suggest you grow up.

whats the ratio of 60s ganking lowbies vs 60s protecting lowbies? 90-10?

just be honest, anathema is not an improvement to elysium when it comes to leveling/ganking. if you argue to the converse youre just fooling the OP

so basicly my options are, grind my way to 60 or reroll a realm where I can actually quest on, Darrowshire don't disapoint me

Well, all Ally could just leave Elysium for ZK : P  After that, here is what world chat looks like for horde when theres nothing left to do:

LF2M BRD. We already have three undead rogues, please no more rogues.  Will pay healer 100g to join.

You know, on Nostalrius Horde got themselves into a pickle.  There were insane levelers on both sides, but ally leveled to get into raids and the horde that weren't raid focused went off to BGs and found their queues so long because there just wasn't that many Ally queuing.  So they went off on ungodly ganking sprees.  Most ally FPs were all-you-could-eat honor buffet for the horde.  And that just further exacerbated the queuing discrepancy.  Which lead to more ganking, which lead to Devs increasing the minimum level at which 60s could get honor.  That shit took a long time to settle.  There were skeleton carpets everywhere and it was frustrating as hell.  Honestly I was more frustrated with Ally not doing anything to defend their own turf until they absolutely had to, than the same hordies spending hours every day just standing there, right at Ally FPs killing everything that moved.
