rhinofunk 1 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 Some patch in next expansion. Keep shield block up or get crushed, sunder armor on every mob I'm out of rage, Attack my target, No! not that one! OMG I'm out of rage. Stance dance Too late I'm in combat. Taunt on cooldown, Healer is dead. Then I woke up. It was just a nightmare. Because this time, I did not roll a tank. I shoot things now. Sorry, I won't do it. You can't make me. I just wont.
Garun 9 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 (edited) Here's a poem for you: You actually have to mark targets Your dps need to wait a few seconds for aggro too You don't completely spam sunder It is just a filler with this build You only need shield block on raid bosses Only the skulls and 63s can crush You shouldn't have rage issues either in 5 mans If you do you are overgeared Or you never got aggro on some mobs The latter is far more likely You need to not put poems here And instead you should git gud Edited January 31, 2017 by zmandude24

My old guild in vanilla pressured me to do so when I wanted to DPS. Things got easier in a later patch in BC when you could thunderclap in defensive stance. I want to say somewhere in BC the difficulty of playing was just right. Then things just got too easy and people left.

Actually thunderclap didn't do that much aside from 5 mans as past that stage it was pretty much useless in TBC compared to what the other tanks had (even druids 3 target swipe was better). gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 Yeah, Tclap even in TBC only did a little bit of threat, and still only hit 4 targets. It pretty much kept the mobs off the healer and that's it.
Xylon666Darkstar 4 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 (edited) Overrated. Still a user learn2play factor to consider more importantly. Edited January 31, 2017 by Xylon666Darkstar
BogyOne 2 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 Charge + Bloodrage -> Thunderclap -> Def stance is the only way I can clap when tanking and I do 0 claps when soloing, 25 rage, come on. ;) The more I play this version of WoW the more I realize how much more logical Warrior became in WotLK and the way it evolved to simplify our playstyle. Imp. Slam deep in Fury? Rend doing non weapon based damage? No clap or charge in def stance? Non plate DPS outfits? It's fun to keep discovering problems vanilla warriors were facing.
szuszak 2 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 thats why warrior in wtlk was imo the greatest design everything made sense about it and you could flow with stance dancing
