I just wanted to start by saying thank you. You guys brought back a good vanilla experience. More importantly please don't listen to the immature haters and low lives, they are too insignificant for your time. There are thousands of people who appreciate what you are doing for them by working hard to keep the realms up and all the inbetweens. Haters gunna hate.

So, If you check my post history, you will see that I clearly approve of Elysium.

However, they could have avoided ALL of this "drama" if they had openly stated that these people were being used for AND the roles that they played as outsiders in to project.

This will be a learning experience for the team and going forward I will suspect that they will be a lot more transparent when dealing with people who are morally corrupt.

I think the "haters" you are referring to are more so upset about the fact that they advertise that their core is "much better" than the Nostalrius core (it's actually much much worse), also while advertising that the experience will be the same as it was on Nostalrius (it very much isn't).

I think the frustration only stems from the expectation that this was going to be the exact same as Nostalrius, just happening all over again. The sad truth is that the VanillaGaming folks are simply incomparable to the Nostalrius folks. In terms of being professional, experienced, and having the developmental know-how of running a good server.

Most of the players on this server (according to Nostalrius data) are NOT players from the old Nostalrius server. The players from the old Nost are upset because this server is in fact quite shitty compared to the original, but it is all we have, so deal with it or simply don't play on it.

VanillaGaming has existed for many many years, and their old server had only a few hundred players at most, was quite unpopular, and was ridden with unplayable bugs. The people following the Nostalrius craze don't know this about them, so they expect much more.

I don't think it would have made a difference if they had been upfront about these people.

The same people would have complained. The idiot you tuber needs contraversy to keep the suckers subscribing. If there isn't any then he will make it up.

m80, they've clearly stated the purpose of those people multiple times, and yet the subreddits and other discussion outlets continued to explode with "OMFG ELYSIUM IS HIRING BOTTERS AND HACKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", even though these people were never hired by Elysium to begin with, and never had access to any part of the servers.
