atominum 7 Report post Posted March 17, 2017 Hi everyone, So far we are all enjoying playing on this server, and many guilds are dedicated to raiding, eagerly looting bosses every week and having to deal with RNG factor to gear up people. However, some seem to have some outside help to gear up : We spotted a war with T2.5 (AQ gear) and a hunt who mysteriously got R13 in a week (and then downgraded to rank 3). Abuses have to be reported, because guilds who play fairly will simply feel fooled. Smoke 8 Report post Posted March 17, 2017 Members of the guild in question set up a private server, and renamed it Anathema. They then gave their characters gear they wanted (including AQ and Naxx gear) and uploaded it to Realmplayers to troll some of their buddies. We have already investigated this, and there is nothing to it. While a player can hide gear from another player in their bags, they cannot hide it from us. BogyOne 2 Report post Posted March 17, 2017 Besides need to have cheaters treated properly I totally don't understand how 2, 20 or 200 cheaters "fool" or have any remote impact on you + remaining 24/39 people you raid with. Guilds and raids are isolated bubbles and you can actually ignore anyone else playing on the server. Imbaslap 14 Report post Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) If realm players could sync with a server side DB to ensure accurate results, you wouldn't have these issues. Since anyone can make a server and name copy it over and inserting false data from player uploads, expect more errors in the future. Only one I know of that prevents this is kronos. Would be a nice option to limit witch hunting off false data and to ensure accuracy. :) And yes, norm did slay a man with just a prismcharm. Them Blacklisted boys are nothing but trouble I swear.
