redash 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2017 Heya all, I'd like to spend a couple a words to kudos the devs, the moderators and all the players of Elysium as a whole. As a father, I've not the time nor the energy to dedicate myself fully to WoW retail as a used to, so I started playing here. I rediscovered the focused vision of vanilla, the sense of wonder to travel this world once again with the eyes of nostalgia and adventure. I'd like to praise the "pureness" of elysium, compared to other more sophisticated servers - the stability, the constant quest to fix bugs even on minor aspect of the game that so many private servers neglect to privilege quality of life features that aren't really so essential. And I'd like to praise the community of "playing" gamers that sometimes we don't see... because they're playing, and not writing drama threads or vlogs. They're out there, so many of them! Always ready to help, to give hints and tips, or simply to tell a joke! Is it all perfect? Of couse not! But I'd say it's a server and a community worth our time and our efforts. Thanks to all of you for the fun and... keep up the good work! :)

SKSPlays 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2017 I concur. I just started on this server a few days ago and while I was streaming on my twitch, the amount of people stating they enjoyed seeing the game again and the ability to just group quickly and not have drama (even from a 60 who helped take down a rare with no payment) was amazing. So far, I am super glad that after I was heart broken from Nost, this is now a place I can enjoy. Thanks!
Guest Report post Posted March 27, 2017 You could've invited all those to play with you. Instead, you let them stay sitting there, staring blankly. What is wrong with you?
SKSPlays 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2017 If you are talking to me. I did. I am sure I gave out the search for the this site about 10-15 times over a few hours. So I did my part. :)
Guest Report post Posted March 27, 2017 (edited) Did they follow your invitations? I mean, did you happen to recieve a whisper "hey, you invited me, let's go play together" after that? How many, SKSPlays? Edited March 27, 2017 by Jorn Skyseer

Belwar Dissengulp 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2017 I agree with this post. I hope the Elysium staff know how much joy they're bringing to so many, one of them being me. When TBC was released I was progressing in BWL on my lvl 60 night elf hunter on Silvermoon back in the day, and I had to cancel my subscription due to real life events at the time, so I never got to down Nefarian, and it pained my 14 year old self at the time. I was only able to play a month or two of TBC before I had to quit again, and I never got to experience raiding in TBC or Wrath either. I came back some years later to WoD, tried to build an entire raiding guild on my own, recruited people from all over the different servers and got it rolling into mythic, but it was never quite the same, so I quit after some months of brainless garrison-activity. The world that was once so full of explorers and kind people (and rogues lvl ?? ganking your sorry ass while questing in STV) was now empty. People didn't even have to leave their garrison to do professions, and leveling was so fast that a zone burnt out in 2-3 hours. I missed Alterac Valley, I missed the unbalanced PVP that I once loved and hated so much, but more than anything I missed the intense feeling of joy that any item upgrade gave you, even while leveling. Getting those pieces of tier 1, getting rhok/lok on my hunter for the first time and going blasting into PVP with them was a true sense of pure bliss - compared to getting a token, rolling a dice button and getting an x ilvl upgrade you never truly cared about in a slot, in one of several difficulty settings. Today in retail you won't die until you reach max level. You won't die in a raidfinder group, and you can *basically* experience the whole end-tier raids while standing unarmed in the back and dancing while the group of braindead people kill a boss with slightly different mechanics and vastly dumbed down damage numbers compared to the highest difficulty setting. It simply is not fun. Yesterday I was shrieking like a nazgûl when a lvl ?? druid ganked me and corpse-camped me in STV and the ress-timer started growing into minutes, but this is the way it's supposed to be in an MMO - actually caring about the adventure while leveling from 1-60 (and occasionally screaming in fury at the computer screen). So thank you so much for this project, I am one of the players who silently and thoroughly enjoy this opportunity, and I hope you will stay true to your vision and keep up the good work to continuously improve the experience so thousands can enjoy the game they so dearly miss. Regards, Zebeth from Circle of Lore.

They cannot do that until level 10 right? 2 came back in stream saying they created characters, but I was streaming so I couldnt really double check everything for fact. lol
