Btw, not sure what ur thread is supposed to purge. You can find out who is Mafia simply by going to the Crater and the chat logs are just .. something to read?

I am glad someone is doing the leg work on these douche bags. Such a silly thing running this leather cartel, also quite comical.... However they are most likely breaking the rules and should be punished accordingly.

I appreciate that you all think that banding together & collecting screenshots is accomplishing anything. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here with 4,000 leather across my characters and an undefeated W/L ratio in competitive PvP.

Tell me, do you think there's a connection between the way you guys are dealing with your problems & the fact that you're on the very bottom of both PvE & PVP? Grow up and play the game. =)

Here is a copy of the guide that the Mafia uses. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yHtezu3H5xq0Kqby2piTypf5OaHzp1s5U2N4eqtEAQQ/edit For all of those who wish to contest these losers :)

That guide has some wrong information. Timers for north/south/mid/east should be 990 instead of 1020 (thus meaning respawn timer is 13.5-16.5 minutes) and the red line (which I assume is intended to show King Mosh's patrol path) is completely wrong. You can find King Mosh's actual patrol path on db.vanillagaming.org. Yes, the mafia actually does this shit 24 hours a day for months and still uses wrong information when I figured it out in like a week

Also, here is a tagging guide which I wrote which should help you more effectively get tags when you're only against people of the same faction: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CcicYtk08PxJxXIGC4wKv8ZrRZ6Vusi4PVBQ6tYsyK0/pub

Hilarious to see the mafia's damage control regarding pricing. "guys the price was going to go down anyway lol it's not like we failed as an organization or anything"

You guys basically have two active options. Form a cartel like people did on Nostalrius and fight for what you want, providing hundreds of people with constant world PvP that is enjoyable by everyone, or just sit on the forums/reddit linking random snippets from Discord thinking that it's accomplishing anything.

Regardless, it seems you are choosing the less interesting of the two options. Enjoy the illusion that your commitment is valuable.

Considering the fact that just 1-5 people can get completely free farm for several hours per day in Un'Goro Crater, it doesn't seem that a "cartel" is necessary at all. Prices for devilsaur materials have halved in the past 1-2 months, not because "it would have happened anyway!", but because the mafia failed at their intended goal of artificially strangling the supply of leather on the server. The auction house is flooded with extremely heavily undercut devilsaur leather to the point that it's actually hilarious when you see a mafia listing up there for twice the going price. The mafia isn't even close to what it once was. It can't even be considered controversial anymore; devilsaur sets are practically free now.

Either you don't know what undefeated means or you don't know what a ratio is.  Take your pick.

Also the cartel on Elysium goes out of their way to avoid PvP so I don't know why you'd mention PvP in regard to cross faction teaming carebears.

It appears as though you have a fundamental misunderstanding of my efforts. At the beginning of the server, leather price was my prime directive. There was an insane amount of demand for the server but very little supply. My group and I were able to farm uncontested for a long time in order to accumulate a great amount of wealth. But I wanted to expand as part of a "let's see how far I can take this" sort of project. I opened the doors to more casual players and created a sort of business model out of it. You can imagine how much leather we had after having farmed hundreds of it every single day. Obviously the price is going to go down when the supply significantly surpasses the demand. The exact same thing happened on Nostalrius but it was much, much later in the server. At this point I ultimately stopped caring about enforcing the price because it was impossible to police and altogether too taxing. This is what I mean by "it would have gone down anyway"; it's just the nature of having so much of a product.

The thing you seem to be missing out on, though, is that as soon as the supply surpassed the demand, my focus wasn't on leather at all anymore. I have a lot of friends. I can get a full raid anywhere instantly. This has happened several times. The mafia isn't directly a leather farming organization at all. It's a (mostly) tight-knit group of PvPers with a side focus on dedicated farmers.

To expect the price of leather to remain static over a long period of time is insane.

I am writing this to explain to you that what you are feeling is wrong. We have already won the server. So many of our veterans have thousands upon thousands of gold and are willing to help each other even under the most random incentive.

Wow, it's great how you change your mind completely about what matters once you fail at your actual goal. Did you really delude yourself into believing all of what you just said? "Man, I'm so glad that we can have people to help us out in PvP situations where the most you do outside of battlegrounds is run back and forth between instanced dungeons." I'm sure that's definitely the mafia's prime directive.

If that's what you want to believe I suppose I can't convince you otherwise.

You realize I haven't posted anything related to pricing in like a month? I ignore messages concerning pricing in general. Please check some of your logs for this lol

What it ultimately comes down to is the mafia making poor decisions thus leading to it becoming "impossible to police" the devilsaur leather price. Your paragraph of excuses and denial doesn't change that fact. It is in no way "impossible" to police the price of devilsaur leather; it's just too difficult for an organization so hodgepodge and so arrogant to manage on their own.

I am aware of possible solutions to properly control devilsaur prices indefinitely. But what it comes down to is I don't play that much and I definitely don't care enough to make it a reality. The reasoning behind this is again I simply don't care about the declination of the prices. In the end it doesn't change what we have been able to accomplish and certainly doesn't eliminate the friendships that I have made.

Since you are so interested in poor decisions I would like to discuss your involvement in all of this. You joined the mafia as a farmer and it was mutually beneficial until you decided to kite an innkeeper to fire plume ridge at server peak time. At this point I decided to remove you from the organization and you have been making futile attempts to sabotage what I have created. That is the objective reality of the situation.

My ragtag group of undergeared casuals with 150+ ping has gathered hundreds if not thousands of devilsaur leather against your team of highly trained Europeans with the best gear and maxed out consumables all playing 16+ hours a day at 10 ms or below, thus making everyone who farms with me rich and solely crashing the market price of devilsaur leather.

I'll just accept that you're ignoring the flow of the conversation to attack me from a different angle.

The truth is anyone can get leather whenever they want.

The significance of my situation however is that I can decide when that happens. If you are farming and I don't want you to farm I can prevent you from farming.

Again I think you are missing the point. Having complete lockdown is not possible in the long term but being able to prevent people from farming whenever I want is a certain power you will never see.

And it's a power you may have had in the past but you will never have it again. Yes, I'm sure that all those times you guys lose dozens of leather in a few hours, you're just choosing not to stop that from happening. Despite the obvious damage control yet again, it's as if you are basically implying that you don't give a shit about the health of your organization, as, according to you, you actively allow these things to happen. It's not like you have much influence either way; everyone just spams @here HURR COME KILL EVERYONE and hopes that people show up to help. Even when I had my multiple spy accounts in your Discord channel, your voice was no louder than any other, and I didn't notice any difference in the speed at which the response arrived no matter who it came from. A large portion of the time, there simply is nobody to help, in large part due to poor management on the mafia's side.

Lol cringing so much at this thread. There are seriously people out there who are working a second job on a private WoW server... Lol I like that guy saying " If you are farming and I don't want you to farm I can prevent you from farming". Acting like hes some mob boss irl LOL, cringe...

The health of my organization isn't proportional to the amount of lockdown that we provide in the crater. I think you are making that connection and it is false. Most people who are playing with me are doing it because they genuinely enjoy my company and because I provide a mutually beneficial way for us to spend game time with each other.

Like I said it is insignificant that you can come down at any random time of the day and grab a few leathers. Anyone on the server can accomplish this. I don't expect nor do I support staffing people in the crater long enough to prevent 0 leathers from leaking. It's just an interesting side project to aim for.
