Choosing a class

Hello,

I was wondering if there is an article about what each class does, what are their speciliaties, how does it level, what is its role in dungeons or raids? What are their varieties? For instance i could say mages are class cannons, they are used to kite ads and best aoe in game. They can give other party member foods and drinks. Can polymorph when necessary and pretty easy to level as frost with slows etc.

Is there any article like this on internet for each vanilla class? Like a small summary guide for all?

I think this would help a new player on deciding whichever class he/she should choose.

By trying them out to, like, level 20 and see if they enjoy playing the class.

If they all feel the same to you then just pick whatever.

Note that these articles are not about vanilla though, probably BC.

Actually, they mention t10, so I'd say these articles are almost irrelevant and can only give you a very generalized view on some classes.

Vanilla wowwiki is pretty useless, most of its information is out of date (or rather, it's not out of date) so really can't be trusted. I can't begin to list the number of times I've gone to look something up and its given me newer information than vanilla. Most of its content is just stuff copied and pasted from a newer version, slightly modified and some newer stuff removed.
