Anathema LFG

Recommended Posts

I see there is usually around 600-900 players on Anathema when I play, is this normal? It's very hard to find anything lower level as far as LFG for dungeons... It seems that there are tons of people who play this server that just normally raid log? Is it just me or is it that NA time is a ghost town in lower levels?  Love the game and what Elsyium is doing, i just don't understand why the server is so low pop active under level 55?

Anathema is more progressed in content, so people usually roll on the Elysium server because they "won't be so far behind".  Anathema doesn't have a strong leveling base, and many of the remaining players are raid-loggers.  You'll have a hard time finding groups for low-level dungeons, but once you're 60, many raid guilds will be more than happy to bring you into raids and gear you up so long as you can commit to their schedule.

This situation is the result of having multiple servers on different patches. When Elysium received the database and core from Nostalrius, they only released Anathema which was around patch 1.7 or 1.8 back then. After 1 month they released their own server Elysium, which did not start at the same of patch of anathema but from 1.1 (or 1.0 or I don't know).

The vast majority prefers to start on the fresh ones because on the older one there is already an estabilished economy and most people are geared. If given the option, 99 players out of 100 will choose to roll on the most recent realm.

I suggest you to just jump ship aswell and re-roll on Elysium. It is not worth to waste your time on Anathema.

Is there a service to which I can transfer to Elsyium?

I am very casual, it took me 3 weeks to get to 39 on my mage. Either I transfer, stick with Anathema or just GG I guess.

I was told in the beginning that Elsyium was too hard to level because of the amount of players. I am not rerolling lol

There is no transfer option.  If I were you, I'd just look for a good guild to socialize with as you grind your way up.  You may not be able to do the dungeons you want right now, but if you find a good group of people, you'll have fun all the same.

Then you're better off quitting now. I am serious, if that's really the case for you then just stop now, this is a genuine suggestion for your sake.

Anathema will be a desert soon. Naxxramas is scheduled to be released on September, and around mid October most guilds will have killed Kel'Thuzad. What happens to those players when there is no TBC planned for the future? They will quit, and I am one of those. By the time you'll be 50-60, you won't have anyone around anymore to play with.

I heard there was going to be a server merger with another low pop one. Any info on this?

I think I will just enjoy the game for what it is at the moment. If the game dies before I get to end game then so be it. I'm not hardcore like some of you. I have a wife and a family. It was just disappointing to me to see that I chose a low pop server, but in the end Destiny 2 will launch in October and I will move on from there.

Not as far as I know. At this point the merges will probably happen only when all 3 servers will be at the same content patch (when all of them have Naxxramas), but Elysium is scheduled to have the last raid released around september 2018.

I started a warrior on release day of elysium and just hit 60 a few weeks ago playing very casually. What's the rush?

Im not in a rush, I just want to enjoy the game as it was meant to be played. I can solo grind fine, I will just miss good opportunities for quest turn ins because of the lack of people that can do dungeons at pre 55.

That's your choice, play a MMO solo if you want. There's plenty of people to play with on Elysium at all levels, its easy to find groups for the elite quests too.

If you don't have any time to play the game, perhaps you should go with a singleplayer game. This isn't 2005 anymore, since then, you've gotten 3 Dragon Ages, 5 Dark Souls games, 3 Witches, and other games like Skyrim. You can play a SP title entirely on your own time, no one cares if it takes you a year to see the end of it.

For realm choice, I'd suggest Anathema, because I'm not a selfish dick. Choosing the realm that already has plenty of players vs the one that needs more, doesn't help anyone except yourself. Saying it needs more players, then "not" rolling on it, makes you part of the problem, doesn't it?

Why is it that people are shunned for advocating for help with Anathema population, but people are not when actively swaying people from playing on that server?

I called out Keala in another post for the doom and gloom. I believe there are plenty of people who enjoy the lore, leveling, doing 5 and 10 man content that can create a healthy server population even after Naxx is released and cleared.

To be fair, you can't never be entirely sure of what the future will bring. I had a vague feeling TBC was on the way, but what if I was terribly wrong? One has to always assume worst case scenario for their own sake.

Now that TBC has been announced, it's a totally different story. I still think that pre-announcement, swaying the people from playing on Anathema was in the best interest of at least 90% of them. Why would they start there without any kind of future confirmed, while Elysium has a long way ahead?

Yeah I can see your point. I'm probably a little more willing than most to deal with a small server population due to absolutely hating it when I tried playing on a server with 6 - 8k pop.
