This was one of the best changes Nostalrius implemented, im sure blizzard wouldve done that aswell if they were to look back at things they wish they had done differently.


edit to be more clear: im talking about the Rank 12 & Rank 13 items NOT the blue 60 version up to rank 10.

if your sole intention is to derail/troll this thread the mods better be suspending your account, if you cant keep it at a civil level or just want to cause drama theres games such as league of legends, or retail warcraft or even farmville where you can harras your facebook friends(think of bots that send friend requests) instead.

Nah unlike you crybabies I hit General in retail vanilla wow. Believe it or not I did it while not being a complete honor whore, but instead by being in a premade that fought every single BG until it ended. By being in a premade that would monitor the other factions premades and specifically queue to fight them. The Pacifist premade beat us far more often than we beat them, that didn't stop us from trying as hard as possible because the few wins we had were legendary and I still remember 2 of them 11 years later.

Vanilla BG pvp is supposed to be an extremely fun way to pvp with the other faction while also offering decent rewards. You 2017 cancer fags have turned it into NOT FUN pvp and all about the rewards. You say that there's no reason to pvp anymore because the gear isn't bis. It's obvious based upon those statements you don't give a flying fuck about the pvp itself and just want handouts. The current rankers are absolutely disgusting and are an abomination of what vanilla bg pvp was supposed to be about.

How would you make PvP Great again? How can you motivate new players or players who have never pvped before to increase their skill set in ways they have ever experienced? I'm asking honestly. I enjoy Vanilla PvP so much I want everyone to do it... but Vanilla is all about Min/Maxing and I think this is honestly a great solution, it worked out amazing on Nost. I would hate for people to miss out on a great vanilla experience by just raid logging for months on end.

It is extremely fun, and unique to any other game, and is currently offering little to no reward for casuals, the backbone of the PvP community.

Spending 5-6x or even more time PvPing than PvEing and getting next to nothing for doing so is turning many people away. Wrong, we're saying their are no incentives for casual players to join in and PvP because they do not have the time to go for rank 12+. This is a video game if you failed to realize this, of course players that immensely enjoy PvP are all ready participating, but in this game, especially, time and dedication are rewarded in all other aspects currently EXCEPT for Casual/semi competitive (those wanting to go for say R11) PvP. The part of the player base that needs to participate in order to keep the PvP community alive and well has no reason to do so, and that makes everyone suffer, Casual/Pug PvPers, People who PvP often out of enjoyment, and Rankers alike. And again, dedicating 20, 30 or even 40 hours or more of your time per week=handouts. Get real.

Jerome you are ignoring the largest part of the former pvp base, and that was the casuals that didn't even pvp at all for rewards, but just wanted to do 1-2 BGs every couple of days to fuck around and have a good time. Maybe join up with a couple of guildies and see what they could do. That's the crowd that has been completely eradicated from current day BGs, because those people will not queue if theres a 75% chance they will get curb stomped so why even bother.

Why on earth do you think they are trying out the 3 person limit on premades? Because they are trying to improve the experience of what would be the majority of pvpers if they hadn't been stomped over and over and eventually given up on the idea. It's a shitty situation for everyone quite frankly, because I know there are premades that play to have fun and challenge themselves and they are being punished by the bad actor premades that dodge non stop and just honor per hour farm.

Leave it blizzlike... Elysium has already demonstrated they aren't after "blizzlike"... just a rendition of their own idea of how a server should be... hence the nerfs to TRUE blizzlike farming... certain items... spawn rates... and the de-tuned instances.

Consider you got r12 on retail by "not focusing on the gear" (let's disregard the fact that you probably tryharded to r12 for the pants and are lying about it now). You're saying there is now a lack of people who don't just "honor stomp", but want to actually play the game and get rewarded on the side.

 

Do you suppose that maybe making the easily attainable awards (r10) better wouldn't cause more people to play, and encourage guilds to randomly put together a prem to win some game, and encourage people to give the current no-competition honor stompers some fucking competition?
