As a side note, it's incredibly important to understand that if you choose to login to ANY other WoW Private Server with your account credentials from Elysium, you could be compromising your account. Any new servers that have been accused of stealing Elysium data should not be trusted and should not be logged into.

Crogge is setting up EG-256-h at this current time and transfering over 70GB of data. This also includes quite a nice upgrade to the hardware to the systems. This will be complete in 1 hour. And servers should be up shortly after.

Good day everyone. Late last night during our work on fixing servers, caused by the stress and daily real life threats and attacks sent to her, Shenna was admitted to the hospital after she fainted. Currently she is in recovery, waiting for scans and MRT check to rule out possible internal organ damage. Further details are currently not known, but we will update you on it.

We have a possible way to restore all characters without a rollback. we're going to give it a try but it's looking ok. We will keep you updated.

Latest Status Update: Thank you all for your patience while we recover our servers and subsequent data. We had reported that there would be a several week rollback due to the deletion of our files. However, after reviewing and compiling countless independent files from multiple backups, and external logs, we have been able to recover all character items, gold, reputations etc - up to date. :) There may be an issue with some guilds and other non-essentials (such as guild lists) not being completely up to date. We're anticipating a roll back of 3 - 4 weeks for those less critical issues. The recovery process will require a web based verification process once our realms are online. We will have more updates soon!

Hello everyone! We have successfully confirmed that we are able to populate databases with no rollback. This is a huge step into getting the servers back on track. We anticipate the progress to be much faster from this point forward but are reluctant to give an ETA as to not get peoples hopes up with a false timeline. Status update! We are happy to announce that we anticipate servers to be coming online within the next 24 to 48 hours (as long as everything goes smoothly). We are in the process of finalizing the Character Recovery portal, and servers are stable. Please watch for a future announcement that will give more detail into how we are handling the long downtime we have had to suffer through. Once again, thank you for your loyalty and dedication!

Dear Players, It has been a long 24 hours since our last update. Part of that comes from our commitment to bringing a level of honesty and transparency that you ask for and frankly, you ALL deserve. What this means is, although there will be far fewer vague blanket statements, our important announcements will be filled with actual information that you can all share and understand. That being said, we want to update you on the status of your servers and your website. Servers are functioning as intended. We have been stress testing the servers over the past 24 hours while we worked on the website and the character recovery portal. Servers are functioning well under stress and we do not anticipate any issues. Our Character Recovery Portal is functioning as it should and has just finished being tested including a few tweaks that have been applied. We will open the character Recovery Tool up several hours before we open the servers, to give all players a chance to restore their data equally with no rollback. Please make sure you check your character once you log in, i think you'll have quite a surprise! The website is over 90% completed and just minimal housekeeping is left on it. The forums should be opened tomorrow. Below this announcement is a screenshot of your beloved forums that we know everyone misses (Yes even the Trolls). So what does this all mean? We are in the final stretch. Once we open the character restoration port, all you need to do is follow the instructions and then you are done. Once this happens servers will be loaded with the character data and uploaded You'll then be able to continue life on Azeroth as if nothing happened. There have been some minor setbacks, but the most important focus is player account safety, server stability, and the state of your backed-up characters. Dear community, Our old realms will be online very soon at this point. At the moment, new web portal has been activated, through which you can restore your characters to the state in which they were before our servers got shut down. Also, if you have continued or just started a character on Light's Hope (the project launched by the former system administrator), the game progress will not be lost — your characters will be transferred back to our project. Light's Hope servers aren't in any way affiliated with the Elysium project and we advise you not to share your credentials there. To restore and transfer characters you must visit this page https://elysium-project.org/main/restore.html and follow these instructions:

1. Log in to your Elysium Project account (Or Light's Hope, if you changed the password) 2. Choose your server: Elysium / Anathema / Darrowshire 3. After successful authorization, you will see a list of your characters. You must select the character you want to restore. For the sake of our players we are offering them a choice where to play. One person should not have the right to decide for everyone, where to play and whom to trust their personal data. Here at Elysium you have a real choice: continue playing your old character as it is now or do not, it's up to you. Despite the mistakes we made in the past, the characters and personal data of the players have always been stored on our project in safety and under protection. During the year we will improve the efficiency and quality of our game servers and services and also we promise that the Elysium Project will continue its work no matter what. Addressing your questions about LH characters: no, they won't get deleted, just copied back to Elysium Database, where they're belong to. Also, regarding bank alts that are below level 10: please send your money to the appropriate character and then transfer your character across. You can always create another bank character. By the way, we might consider to remove lvl 10 limits in the next few hours.

On a side note - we've seen a great amount of restored characters make their way onto the realms! Very pleased to see people coming home. Greetings all! 

The restoration tool is now  back on track and working as intended after a third party is refusing to allow the community to choose where they would wish to play. We're also happy to announce that we're ready to open up the realms! It will happen today at 18:00 GMT+1! Additionally, if you're experiencing problems with character restoration that's simply because LH is attempting to lock transfers. Unfortunately you'll have to attempt several times for the transfer to go through, we apologize for the inconvenience but we did everything in our power to get it working in a timely manner for you all. 

Once the realms are launched, we will check how well the server is going and plan ahead and let you know. Also, those who log in you may find a surprise in your mailbox. There will also be an NPC in Stormwind and Orgrimmar, but we haven't found a home for him to be placed yet but will let you know. This NPC will allow you to reset your raid ID's. So not only will you have up to date characters, you will also get a free raid ID reset for your troubles.

While we see that a minority of restorations have failed, we currently have HUNDREDS of successful character restorations each passing hour. There are some of you who may be having difficulties restoring your characters- in this case keep attempting to restore and it will eventually work successfully. Light's Hope has consistently abused your data, attempting to prevent player's ability to choose where to play. We will not restrict you from the freedom of choice you deserve. Our response to Light's Hope's actions is clear — we will always support our players and the community, and we will never take actions to segregate and alienate any of them. While our developers have worked tirelessly day in and day out to restore the server for you guys, our competition has shown they have little to no sympathy for the community — they have chosen once again to block players ability to play, just to thwart us.

P.S. We greatly value all of our players (in regards to Chinese players that are now blocked on Light's Hope). Hence we will be waiting for you at 18:00 (GMT +1) on our servers... your home. By the way, we had forgotten to notify you, that you will be able to receive a secret surprise on email only for the 1st day after we open our doors.

Oh... and Shenna lies.

LH is not blocking Chinese players... they also offered a solution to restore the character data without using the botnet (or whatever the tool is) without transferring our user/pass info IN PLAIN TEXT (you know, for the safety of your account)... but Shenna didn't want to do that.
