I'm lvl 51, and PvP ranks will be introduced this weekend... How bad is it going to suck to grind those last 9 lvls? I'm gonna be lvl 60 players their bitch...

Very sad. I rather enjoyed the "truce" both factions had, still the tension/risk of a pvp server but with leveling still actually feasible. Now it's a gankfest in literally every zone. Impossible to mind your own business and level up if you were unfortunate enough not to have a 60 before this weekend. I'll also have to be putting the game down for this month I think.

play any char below 60 right now and tell me you are having fun. getting ganked by single players you can do nothing against and whole groups of them, while they get "Honorable" kills for it.

What's also worse is that many of these level 60s got informed about the mount changes coming up in 1.4 well ahead of time, so they got an epic mount very cheap by purchasing the training before patch, then purchasing the mount after patch, so it is impossible to run from them, and anyone now in the process of leveling to 60 is at a severe disadvantage to getting their epic mount. I have no idea how this was missed by the developers (was it intentional?), because this change did not go into effect by Blizzard until 1.12.

See you all in a month or 2.. this fuckfest is to much for people who havn't hit 60 yet.. seriously stupid to even try and level atm.

I talked to some of the Elysium staff on Discord ... and one said it was a failure. They had the chance to change it in Time, but they didnt wanted! Thats real bullshit. I bet they playing Horde themself

The usual "you're on a pvp server what do you expect?" Funny, people were doing just fine without attacking everybody else on sight before this weekend. This patch brought out the worst of this community. Also there Isn't a large choice of Vanilla servers with blizzlike progression to choose from. So you can't tell me "go on a pve server!"

Plus i'd be willing to bet you got a 60 before this weekend so of course you don't mind! I talked to everybody I grouped with while leveling this weekend and every single one of them told me they thought this was a disaster and will probly be taking a break for a month.

Personally, I am fine with the gankings and have accepted it since Honor system was released and no BGs out to get rank up currently.

I'm more annoyed with how the Elysium team handled the epic mounts issue. Nearly every 60 I run across has one now due to the 'exploit', and the team seems not interested in even attempting to solve their major screw-up. I wish everyone on this server luck and I hope the devs learn from their mistake here, but I will be moving on to another project until Blizzard releases their classic realms.

The server has just gone to shits tbh. 60s are spawn camping low lvls etc. for the next month (atleast) the server is gonna be dead, unless you're 60.
I'll be off to find a server with a dev team who dosn't fuck up, in such huge ways as to give 60s epic mounts for 180g in a pvp patch, just to mock low lvls.

It took me less then eight months leveling in dungeons only as a prot pally back at Elysium.

And I've spent well over three of those months on battlegrounds and taking weeks off the game.

But yeah - you're right. When the team split I stopped playing and didn't regret it ever since.

Eight months?? If you really enjoy it well that's fine for you but you can easily get to 60 in a single month with questing. Instances are notorious time wasters while leveling IMO.

Anyway I really enjoyed it while it lasted, shame I rerolled and couldnt get to 60 in time but I think I'll just take a break for now. Thanks for the hard work, devs.

It's awful out there. Thankfully I'm about half way into 59, so I'll probably slowly be able to grind those few bars left, but it's still brutal.

 

As others have mentioned, I'm more annoyed at the mount issue. Every level 60 has their epic mount, and puts the rest of us at such a disadvantage, not only because we can't run away, but because we won't be able to do so until WE pay the full 1k. Such disappointment.

Yea. You literally can't quest on Nighthaven without getting constantly ganked. I doubt we'll be seeing the record login numbers that they posted about as I suspect the low level players will be quitting.

Game is absolutely toxic right now. Leveling in any 50-60 zone is nigh impossible. Not only is it groups of 60's patrolling every 50+ zone they're all on Epic Mounts they exploited to get and haven't earned.

Literally broken.

I'm in the lower 20 levels.  Regular questing is out of the question now. I strictly do dungeons and fish in SW. Everything else will result in endless cycle of corpse running.  It is what it is, but I'm not going to bother attempting anything else until BGs come out.

Yea. I'm stuck at 54. Nowhere to quest since all the FP's are being camped with quest givers being killed. 

Thanks dev team for killing vanilla.... now I'll have to go be productive with my life.

That's how it was back in 2004 — Azeroth isn't really friendly and cozy, leveling is kinda hard without Questie and proper online Databases, the opposite faction doesn't like your red nickname and yes, sometimes NPCs get killed and you have to wait or figure out something else to do.

Patch 1.5 is releasing in February, not much time left tho.

It's not so much "sometimes" NPC's getting killed. It's WPL, Wintersping, etc, being camped at all hours. Retail Vanilla was never this bad. Sometimes sure, you'd get camped for an hour or have some 60's screwing around near menethil. This has been everyday, at nearly every hour making it nearly impossible to enjoy the game. At least open a PVE server so people can level there and transfer over to PVP.
