euron 1 Report post Posted November 11, 2016 The video was made by Klarreqt, a hunter from Dreamstate. For everyone that wants to know the backstory: NOPE and Dreamstate were the best guilds on Nostalrius on alliance and horde respectively. An incident occured where Monkeynews, Ranalape and Slipry from NOPE got permabanned for "duplicating" whipper root tubers, an item farmable in Felwood that heals for about ~500hp on a seperate cooldown from potions. Turns out, someone had gone through Monkeynews' stream archive and found some footage of them simultaniously looting the whipper root tubers, making it obtainable for all of them. They were unaware that this was not allowed as the entire server was doing it, and it was also completely legal and normal in retail. AKA someone reported that, since they had prior offenses they got the banhammer without much research. Forum drama happened as for about a week the forums got spammed with posts and memes (to the point where many people changed their forum avatars to the whipper root tuber-tooltip) which eventually lead to them getting unbanned. It was quickly assumed that someone from Dreamstate reported them, as the two guilds were pretty big rivals.
