tinklepee 1 Report post Posted December 12, 2016 A grace period is a good idea. Other than that is should be first come first serve.
Drain 19 Report post Posted December 13, 2016 -Queue skip for a first minutes after being disconnected or logging out. -Open up new realms and take transfers. Nothing else is necessary.
Walgrave 10 Report post Posted December 14, 2016 Bump 5min grace period? Combat bugs, random DCs are quite common. Raiding will be hell if those stress test random kicks occur with no queue protection. Not to mention blizzard had this system. Would like to hear why the devs are reluctant to reply on this matter.
taladril 43 Report post Posted December 14, 2016 What is the right answer I think is going to heavily depend on what the queue actually is. For now it is entirely speculation. If the queue is on the order of 1-5 minutes I would think that no modification is necessary. It won't impact anyone and how they play. If the queue climbs to 10-30 mins or more then yeah there probably should be a system to prioritize level 60 players. Raids need to start on time. Some players may have to wait while others log on which will significantly impact the effectiveness of world buffs. DCs would also be a major factor for raiding and pvp. Also some people may be in a guild where they start to raid right after work or something like that. A queue of 30 minutes could cause them to either be chronically late or unable to raid with their current guild.
Walgrave 10 Report post Posted December 14, 2016 (edited) A grace period is necessary regardless of queue time. The nature of seemingly random server kicks, not to mention combat bugs which occur more and more with smaller draw distances makes it necessary. Nost players already know the pain of combat bugs. eg. Running while mounted and having things aggro you but not drop combat because you've run out of their view distance. Those mobs become "stuck" in a combat phase. Anyway, these are just examples of why a 5min grace period should be implemented. Especially if queues are 3k+ which they surely will be. Strahl 2 Report post Posted December 14, 2016 or fix all the issues you mentioned that would make a relog necessary? grace period for random disconnects? agree priority for anyone? nope random means that you get kicked/dropped for no apparent reason while the server keeps running perfectly fine. this doesn't include compelte crashes, ofc

stif 1 Report post Posted December 17, 2016 most of the population is under lvl 60 so if there would be a pool to see who will get in without queue you can gues who will win

Luke 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2016 Or implement a AFK system, if other players waiting in queue, it will kick players who has been afk for x minutes.
mainfinity 1 Report post Posted December 18, 2016 (edited) This is really a problem now,me and lots of my friends are getting disconnects, and its impossible to raid like this cause each disconnect takes 10-20 minutes to come back.So it seems fair that lvl 60 character have priority over thousands of lvl 1-2 who just logged in to check the server. Please notice this thread guys, its impossible to raid atm. Cysne 1 Report post Posted December 18, 2016 5 minute grace period is blizz-like. It is frustrating to reload the game due to a bug and become stuck in a large queue.
Bonappetit 2 Report post Posted December 18, 2016 1. Implement grace period 2. Auto kick after 15min of being AFK. Will tremendously help and by my assumption would cut the queue in third.
Cannabix 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 Best thing would be to have a donation system for like 5-10$ to have priority queue. It would ease the thing for serious players.
