Ellipsea 36 Report post Posted November 28, 2016 I was going to wait til later to bring up this old dead horse, but maybe now is the time to start thinking about it again. Ya remember when we first created our Nost PvP accounts...in the beginning there was no email verification. This topic would come up every now and again, and it seemed no one really had any idea how to deal with it and the potential difficulties it would/did create. We're probably going to revisit that for some people. If you're a chowderhead like me, you're probably not entirely sure what your credentials were on Nost PvP. And there's no way to recover the info without an asociated email address. If you still have your original Nost WoW folder, you can dig down and see what the account names were...so yer halfway there. But, if you're like me and never thought the realm would be revisited and there wasn't enough space on your hard drive anyways and you had to chose between throwing out that WoW folder or keeping your extensive pile of pornography...well you can guess which one I chose : P So heres the deal, I have a pretty good idea what credentials are after I try maybe 7-12 various combinations: After how many tries do we get an IP ban? If i use a VPN to move my IP, does that create any new security issues? Is there any other access Elysium has to account information that could be helpful?

Tholren 7 Report post Posted November 28, 2016 (edited) I don't understand the problem, clearly you dumped the pornography collection and should be able to easily regain your credentials. If that doesn't work, let us know. Jokes aside, though. Good question. I'm sure the staff will provide a way for you to get around this issue when the launch is closer. Best of luck. Drain 19 Report post Posted November 29, 2016 I'd assume we're all going to get resets before the accounts can be logged in. It'd be pretty damn stupid not to, as there would be hacks out the попа before legitimate owners had a chance to secure them.
cryofsorrow 5 Report post Posted November 29, 2016 (edited) I have a question that's relative to this topic. Is the IP lock that was introduced around January still in tact/active? It should be transfered over along with the account data and credentials right? And one more question I've wanted to ask about the IP lock; if somehow my IP changes and I'm unable to retrieve my previous address, will there be a 'unlock' function on the web page? I know it sounds fishy but I've had my ISP changing my IP address randomly in the past several years without prior notification and I would like to avoid any inconviniences if this happens again. I've moved since January, so I hope that this "IP lock" isn't an actual thing. My ISP changes my IP about twice a week, I'd be screwed if I wasn't able to get in because of this.
cryofsorrow 5 Report post Posted November 29, 2016 (edited) The IP lock was optional and regulated by the players with an in-game command. If you didn't lock your account you shouldn't be worried about. I did lock mine due to security reasons and in case I somehow manage to get 'hacked'. Undertanker 88 Report post Posted November 29, 2016 Pottu already addressed this in a different forum as an individual traveled for work to different countries and played each day and used a different computer (MAC Address), some times different countries each day, don't feel like finding it but in short: IP bans are reviewed on a per instance basis. Shouldn't get Auto banned for having a different IP.
