We're sure you will have many question, but we ask you to hold on to them and take this time to relish the announcement. Next week we will be posting an announcement with more details about the upcoming transfer and release.

 

 

Soo, as i'm sure there is many others excited to hear more, any news on the next annoucement? As it is now nearly the end of ''next'' week =)

I wish I could hibernate :/ But finals are preventing me.... Luckly they are over by Thursday so I won't have to worry about them when the server launches.

At least one month? For all we know it could be January 1st, which is a lot less than one month.... We know its at most 5 weeks from yesterday (Maximum). So yes, maybe a month, but It will prob be less than a month.

How do you manage to dress yourself in the morning? The fresh server was always planned to be released about a month after the old one.

Well that is probably because you 1) been reading or following people who simply expresses their views or 2) haven't spent time checking the official statements on the forums. No worries.

 

For instance the FAQ thread;

 

Q: How many realms are you opening, and can we have the fresh server first?

 

A: There are currently minimum 3 planned servers: Nostalrius PvP, Nostalrius PvE, and a new fresh realm. The Nostalrius PvP & PvE realms will be launched on December 17th. The fresh realm release date will be announced December 25th.

Actually I have expected a release in mid-january too. But many people (including me) were hoping for an around-chrismas release, becuase of vacations and so on. 

However, the late release seems to be quite reasonable since the guys want to have some freetime during holidays which they completely deserve.

 

Fortunately there are 2 more servers to play on this weekend. Looking foreward to that

Much moistness. For those wanting to start fresh maybe give the nost server a go first, level a toon you normally wouldn't. Try some different specs out. But mainly get out in the world and enjoy it, experience the ganking and mob camping. If the servers are anything alike you can consider this a "trial" run before you start your adventure on the new server.

I had only just hit 59 the day the Blizzard came in and swept Nost away. I will be capping him off at 60 and then debating if I stay on the nost server or the new server. I may do both.

Ignore any complaints about the fresh server staff.

I myself plan on going on the fresh server (new to using non retail servers) and the fact this is being done free makes me eternally grateful (Would happily pay for the service too). I don't mind the wait at all, I know it will come out when it is ready. It's going to be a very peculiar experience seeing everyone low level, and seeing the world full of people. I cannot (metaphorically) wait.
