Hey guys, so I was wondering who has vintage screenshots of retail back in the day along with the stories that goes along with them?

 

Here are a few I played on the Crushridge server back in the day and this screenshot is of a Strath run I did with my first raiding guild <Distinct Advantage> its just a screenshot of highly unlikely rolls.

 

 

After this I raided with them for about 6 months before joining the top progression guild on the server <Equinoctis>, the guild leader Grenix was the guy on our server to get the black bug from the AQ event. Unfortunately I dont have any screenshots from this time in vanilla

 

However when BC came out I ended up becoming the MT of the guild after beating out my rival tank in Kharazan progression. Screenshots below

 

 

 

 

Here is a shot of our guild leader after he switched to paladin.

 

 

And my friend that I started Vanilla with and raided with through BC before we both quit.

 

 

Those are most of my old school screenshots with the story. What do you guys have?

This is the oldest screenshot that I have, dated June 16th, 2008. Yeah, I was a late-BC baby.

 

 

I started earlier than that (mid-December 2007) but used an older laptop and didn't save any of the screenshots from it.

 

I was such a ваууing scrub that I rolled need on a tank trinket.

 

 

To my defense though, I didn't have a 2nd trinket yet.

Bow glitch that was common in Vanilla. Looks like i"m melee'ing with my bow which is actually kind of cool. What am I doing in Silithus here?? Can you say "Encrypted TWILIGHT TEXT!!!"

A raid primarily composed of [Risen] and [immortality] dropped Instructor Razuvious today. Click below for a link to the killshot/loot. The purple item was the t3 piece required for the shoulders for some various classes. The legendary is 1 shard of the legendary staff.

Fantastic. That damn game box. I think I still have mine.

Also Instructor is such a cool fight with the MC tanking. Took me so long to break my habit of sundering while tanking the adds.

Right, you're looking at a screenshot from the guild that had the US-first (world-second) Naxxramas clear and the worlds first Ashbringer and Atiesh... Must have been the worst players ever!

Yeah all the way through vanilla and the beginning of BC I was definitely a clicker. Never really held me back though.

After switching it took me awhile to get used too but I feel keybinds helped a little, mostly with pvp.

We never made it past that pool. As far as I recall, it was my only foray into dungeons on that character. I leveled slowly over the next months and stopped playing until I met some friends at work who played on another server, so I made a Mage with them and barely looked back. That druid is still in Tanaris, wearing mostly green quest items.
