tablet0p 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 I disagree with the drop in Nost PVP. The hype is now, Christmas time off is coming up, many players will be so invested in their current new chars they won't want to restart so soon. Nostalrius PVP might drop in activity but no more than 30% is my guess.
Outstanding 10 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 Not a chance. Nost PvE was 4.5k before it got shut down, even allowing for a reasonable number of players who ditched the PvP version for a workable realm it should still be 4k mimiumum as people have invested time there. Fresh server is wayyyyyyy overrated, maybe 10k. On the old PvP, where the economy is, you can expect that to remain 6-8k.
Shayss 43 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 Hmm. I would be more inclined to go with: PVE - 2k Nost PvP - 8k Elysium PvP - 10k These numbers will also increase on all servers but more so on the fresh realm. The PvE realm will actually be the only realm that is gona be perfectly fine. PvE carebears doing PvE carebear things... like hugging, loving and waving at each other.
Crowley 8 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) I think PVE will have more pop than Nost PVP, Nost PVP is going to be mostly old Nost players with level 60's that don't want to start over again, I think the majority of other pvper's are going to want fair-footing and roll fresh when they want to get serious about their toons. And since there is only one PVE server that will obviously draw a different crowd. So I think population will be Fresh>PVE>Nost PVP. Time will tell. Tholren 7 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 Oh god, please no. Don't let Elysium PvP have a 20k pop, that would be far too much, 10k is good enough.

Morathe 5 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 You forget about the fact that Nost will have aq and naxx first which is also a huuuuuuuuuuuge factor for a lot of people that didn't get to experience that during vanilla days. Ofc new server will have it also in like 2 years but we all know know by now how "accurate" predictions over server lifespan ended up ;p Sure freshies might wanna want roll new server because getting stomped by fully bwl bis ppl seem unfair but then there are tons of ppl that rather wish to play catch up game and gear up fast in bwl on old server that to risk their year or more time investment to see aq and naxx.
Drain 19 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 Another doomsday prediction that will be proven false and leave the guy who made it look like an idiot. But that won't stop the next one at 2 months, 3 months, and so on.
Nostalrius News 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 Pretty sound prediction, but I'm going to say that Nost PvE will be about 2.5K, Nost PvP will be about 8K and Elysium around 15K.
ropman 1 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 actually I think some people will come back to PVE or roll on PVE after they will be constantly ganked on fresh realm. and after they realize that bunch of ppl who play almost 24/7 will be 60 in a week anyway while they struggle with mob tagging in starting zones as lvls 10-20. a lot of people will be disapointed by a fresh realm experience... especially the ones who haven't exprienced nost 1.0 launch.

Alexensual 12 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 What is with this obsession that the PvE server is going to die out or have low population than the rest? This is simply not true. I play on it, but I prefer PvP, but I'm telling you that the population is going to look like this next year: 1. Fresh 2. Old PvE 3. Old PvP The only server "in danger" is going to be the old PvP server. The PvE has a niche to it that the other two servers do not have. Regardless, I think all 3 servers are going to be fine with population. I don't ever see the Old PvP server going under 3,000, but I do think it will be the lowest eventually.
Pmizz 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) What will actually happen is fresh will have 4-7k and the majority of new people will go old nost as the starting zones on fresh will remain permanently ваууed for months. After the hype dies down Old retains it's que and 11k pop, PvE with 5k, and fresh with 4k it comes down to the majority of people who will quit in the next 6 months will be obsessed with rolling fresh. Once the saturation of bad players takes hold in the raid community a large chunk will fall off. Anyone who has played and committed to vanilla will be on old nost where the hardcore are. It's just a fact, and the fresh people will фекал themselves when Rag is dead and they're level 24 Kronos 2 had 5k, you're kidding yourself if they all plan to roll fresh as several guilds on k2 were old nost guilds. You guys are just sad. the amount of people who ahve rerolled 5/6/7 times. It will not be an Eigth. Jesus the narcissism is unreal. If this is your first server you are in the minority trust me. Otherwise we would see a 15k que Edited December 21, 2016 by Pmizz

Indeed I see PvE staying in the middle as well (perhaps not at first but in the long run). Both PvP servers will have their ups and downs (overcrowded/queue times), but PvE will be the most stable out of the 3, also its a safe haven for the PvE tree-huggers.
Smiter 9 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) Everyone saying that the old nost PvP server is gonna have the least population is def wrong. If it was true then it would have more population than the pve server would have more population than the pvp right now Edited December 21, 2016 by Smiter
