Rafale 6 Report post Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) It seems that those items have no effect on our damage, even in human form. Could you confirm before I post the bug on tracker? Edited January 24, 2017 by Rafale
Lorilay 12 Report post Posted January 24, 2017 They changed +weapon damage to not affect feral forms back in January a year ago.
Rafale 6 Report post Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) Even in human, there is no effect. Quality items are +damage items, not weapon btw. Edited January 24, 2017 by Rafale
Mahtan 15 Report post Posted January 25, 2017 Just for clearing things up: temporary +weapon damage items like Weightstones and +weapon damage enchantments still work unfortunately.
Shedo 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2017 I'm really interested in this topic as well. I got a drop Magician Staff of Quality, which gives "+7 damage" and it didn't give any dmg boost to me. However, I was just wondering whether it SHOULD work or not in forms, since it doesn't say "weapon damage", but "+damage". Does anyone have more specific info about this?

There was a thread on the Nost forum questioning whether "of quality" items dropped in retail vanilla, or if it was a TBC suffix. Because the stats are clearly OP.
Blaze13 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2017 I can't believe people thought of quality items existed in Vanilla lol.

Of Quality items did not exist, however, stuff like Might of Cenarius existed back then. This ring has to affect +damage in cat/bearform. I guess we'll see if it works correctly next patch.
Rapteg 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2017 (edited) "of quality" items still work for me. I'll add screenshots after i'll get home today. It's literally 7.7 DPS increase in a cat form (thanks to Natural weapons) and i don't think that any statstick (read: weapon) in game can surpass that. Also might of cenarius and weightstones gives significant boost to damage. Also i don't remember seeing "of quality" items at all. Ever. Are there any chances that its simply mangos thing? Also i recall seeing "of retaliation" suffixes that gave you a chance to fling a shadow bolt at attacker on different servers. Probably some unused suffixes were added into the game mistakenly. It is listed as a suffix on Wowwiki - whether or not that means it was on retail, is hard to say...I don't recall seeing it myself, but I wasn't playing a class that would have any particular interest in weapon damage. Also it might have been in the game files (hence the Wowwiki mention) but the devs might have turned the droprate down to 0%. Vanilla was pretty basic as far as suffixes go, and it seems more logical to me that it came in one of the expansions.
Cfour 1 Report post Posted February 12, 2017 Is there any definite say in this? Does +dmg affect overall DPS now (and if so, by what margin)?

Does +dmg affect overall DPS now (and if so, by what margin)? +9 weapon DMG is = +9 DPS, which is comparable to 126 AP, which is equal to +63 strength woth HotW talent. This is by far the best chant for Feral. I've seen lots of Ferals running with +9 weapon dmg enchants on BGs recently. Wanted to clarify: is it really bannable, because the temptation to use them for myself is really high. Besides Feral is not that particulary good spec for PvP.
