Warlord of Dreanor Characters

Dear forum

I recently found out there is a way to get the character overhaul of Warlords of Dreanor working on the vanilla client, what this means is all players/npc have the crisp Warlord of Dreanor models, something I think is a big upgrade for the overall look of the game. But I was wondering if this considered hacking and can lead into a ban of any sort.

Cause its not a modification to a MPQ, its adding one.

Adding files is client modification, you add files that otherwise are not supposed to be present. You will risk a ban doing this, as has been stated in multiple threads

Well you actually can, but they only show up for you, but that violates the terms of service as explained above.

But to keep the discussion going, is it not an idea to allow this kind of modding, cause as far as i know you are not getting an actual advantage out of it. I also found out there is a way to enhance all the items like boxes and flags and stuff, even trees and water. This would mean you are actually able to have legion graphics and Vanilla game-play.

Allowing modification of MPQs will make it possible to people to "mod-away" ingame barriers (google cthun floor hack), or make Black Lotus 10 meter high and more visible, etc. The ways you can cheat by allowing MPQ modding is endless.

You can edit WoW files so that the zeppelin drops you off ANYWHERE you want (just fill in right cords).

Want to go from bootybay to Old Outland? Do it. Wanna go from BB to Naxx? Dew it.

You'll get banned fast though probs.

Not allowed and you will get banned with no chance of appeal. Regardless of what you changed in the game files or why, any ban for that reason is always permanent.
