Nobody owes you a damn thing but elysium chose to host this game for us. NOT CRESTFALL, there's a saying that says remember where you came from. The elysium team gave us a home and I can say that I am loving the game thus far and hope it remains this way.

Whether or not GMs abused power really isn't any of my concern.  Even Blizzard has GMs that abuse power (and get fired), there's no such thing as a pure server.  I enjoy my time here on Elysium and am grateful for every day I get to come online and raid and bs with my guildmates.  I am grateful for the team that keeps this server running and I trust that steps will be taken to improve internal processes.

8500 people on Elysium at 2pm on a Thursday, still a huge amount. Darrowshire is such a a haven for PvE players in the legacy community that it'll remain popular for a long time for that fact alone. As long as the patches keep coming proving that the work is being done then that says it all.

Has any of this drama affected my in-game enjoyment? No.
There's a reason I'm on Elysium. Right now, it is the best way for me to enjoy vanilla WoW. Until that's no longer the case, I'm here.

Elysium hasn't sold a single coin.

For some fucking reason you think we bathe in money, but that's not true. We barely get enough donations to host the servers. On a financial announcement day we might get a month's worth of donations, but on a slow day we get between 15 and 20 dollars, or maybe nothing.

Now, onto the main part.

From this moment on I won't let anyone shittalk my team. I know Vitaliy made some mistakes like his joke in the Chinese chat, but he's a man who's been spending all his free time on the project, being torn between his job, his family and our servers. And I also know he hasn't sold a single coin.

Sure, he used to run a commercial project, but when Elysium launched, all the transactions stopped.

I know Vitaliy is an honest man. Sure, we've had our differences, but those weren't money-related.Together we started this project.. His little server helped us create a huge, strong and beautiful project. He might not be very active as a project manager, but he cares about you assholes. He's the one who's been defending players' right to their characters during the Nostalrius drama.

I know we have a team full of amazing people who wouldn't spend so much time on the project if they didn't hold the same principles at heart as I do. I know how much time our volunteers spend on providing you with a comfortable gaming experience.

From this moment on I'm done grovelling and making excuses for every misstep we make. You either trust us or fuck off. Have some respect for people who spend their free time on the game you play. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a single server you could play on. I've put so much effort into this project it matters more to me than anything else, but I won't put you gossiping fucks before my partner.

It's sad for me to see our dream of an LGN being torn apart before we could accomplish anything. We wanted to change the private emulation scene, but you've ruined everything. Now, reap what you've sown.

I want to thank my team which still trust me and support me no matter what. You guys are amazing. I love you all.

that post made me respect the team more. at some point you get fed up of playing nice and having to be civil with people who are trying their hardest to discredit and bring down a project you bust your ass on, and that they still play. 

the community is aids, im surprised anyone would want volunteer to work to as these guys are to provide a service to people who cant be happy they're even able to play.
