shnoblz 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2017 (edited) So I ran Sunken Temple with a group and we were at Avatar of Hakkar. We killed him and Spire of Hakkar dropped, a clearly clothie staff. The tank quickly needed it and won the roll, blocked me and left the group. He now has me on ignore and I dont know why this happened. Is there anything that could be done about this or the player? Here is a picture of it happening: http://imgur.com/a/h7k3y Edited February 28, 2017 by shnoblz Added link to picture
thecrazyscot 16 Report post Posted February 28, 2017 You'll have to settle this outside of the game. Find where he lives and deal with him. In game, not a thing can be done to these kind of assholes.
Rapteg 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2017 (edited) Maybe you was an asshole to him at some point of the game? There is clearly something missing from this story. Or the tank is heavy RPer and needed it for RP purposes, which is kinda weird, because he could make a reserve run for it Edited February 28, 2017 by Rapteg
shnoblz 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2017 Tank was a pretty chill dude. He surprised me when he did that, said it was a mistake...but still sucks.
Undertanker 88 Report post Posted February 28, 2017 You blast such activities in world chat for others to know. In Vanilla reputation goes a long way. This isn't retail where you can name change, screw over the queued 5 man group of people you'll never see again, and be fine and dandy, and level a new toon in 2 days. Also with actions like this, always screen shot. Present it to their guild leadership. Serious guilds don't want their name tainted with shady players. We've had a few examples of negative actions coming back to us, and those members were removed immediately and blasted for their actions. They struggled so much to find a guild after they quit the game.
Xerox 4 Report post Posted February 28, 2017 Greetings! We here at the GM Team do not encourage people to ninja loot, however there are no sanctions on players who do. Regards GM Team

They struggled so much to find a guild after they quit the game. This. I had this happen in a group, someone ninja BOE after all others greed. I instantly said sorry to the others and left the group, then did a /who <guild name> and then whispered the highest lvl player asking them to speak to the GM, he forwarded me to the GM who I told both what had happened and showed them screen shots of the event happening and the chat etc. In this case the ninja wasnt kicked from the guild, which IMO is terrible, but then it only becomes a learning experience for me, as I now know something about the leadership/attitude of that guild and while its not fair to tar all with same brush, i can be cautious in future. If you are feeling unsure about a player or item, 1 tactic is to wait to press greed untill u see all others greed... if someone is thinking of ninja needing, the time will run out like a game of chicken... they will need and u can at least need also then hope you win and /roll with the guys that played fair. Another way is to clearly state it at the start of the group, while youre all travelling to the instance etc. say in chat that all BOE will be greed unless you say in chat 1st that u need it and other players always say ''yeah man go for it'' if its an obvious item you need. I had this in ST just the other day with the ''Precisely Calibrated Broomstick'' (epic gun +14 agi worth 100g+ easy on AH) it was a huge upgrade for me.. but i didnt need untill i said in chat to other group members that i wanted to need and that i would equip straight away.. they agreed.. about 1 sec before timer ran out and i almost missed even rolling at all haha. It sucks, but not bannable or anything at all.... just out them in general and to the GM of their guild.. even lots of their guild if u feel it was bad enough. That will .... or should lol.. do them more harm than any temp ban.

Regards GM Team wait so u are saying others can ninja loot and nothing will be done about it ........fuking lol all that does is open the doors to let people ninja loot to there harts content with no risk. If u are tring to keep a good in game setup letting people get away with that is bs .I just may be looking to move to crestfall if the staff is going to let ninja loots run wild. its going to get out of hand over time .
HudsonHawk 1 Report post Posted March 1, 2017 There are repercussions for acts like this. Even with the amount of players on these servers, sooner or later it will catch up with a person. Will you forget that players name? No, you won't. People who act like douche bags will be treated like douche bags.
