Maladath & Brutality Blade are your two Swords. Which one in MH?

Recommended Posts

My first thought was to put Maladath MH but I noticed that the Brutality Blade actually has slightly higher top-end and is slower. So I would think to put the Slower, more top-end (and more low-end) in the MH? It causes my Weapon damage on the Character pane go to 320 top-end with Brutality MH, down to just below 300 with Maladath MH. But Maladath has a higher DPS though... so I am slightly split.

I'll test it out both ways to test it out over the next days, just wanted to get you guy's input on what way you would go. Thanks!

Most of your damage comes from white hits, and unlike rogues, most of your damage from special attacks isn't affected by your top end damage. I would use maladath on the main hand for single target fights.

I would say, use Maladath in your MH. There is a damage penalty to your offhand (hope i'm right here, correct me pls), i would say that the weapon with most DPS should go in your MH so it does not get crippled by the OH penalty. Yes, top-end dmg is important for WW, but i would say this is less important than mainhand whitehit-damage. But i didn't calculate it.

You're actually probably right. Disregard my previous statement. When it comes to Brut-blade and Maldath you may infact see better numbers with Maladath in MH. The difference in top-damage between the two is very small and will hardly have any effect on WW, HS or cleave.

Whirlwind only makes up about 5 % of your total damage on single target encounters while auto attacks + HS make up for about 50 %. Even if the disparsity was way bigger this would be crystal clear.

Mala MH/Brut OH.
