Vysr, from horde guild <Horizon> steals 450g in materials

Recommended Posts

A 56 Hunter named Vysr, from the guild <Horizon> accepted full materials (22 devilsaur leather, 60 Rugged leather, and 2 rune thread) for Devilsaur Gauntlets and Leggings under the pretense of crafting said items for a fee. He immediately left the group after accepting, and went offline without replying to any of my messages 2 minutes later. I had whispered him after a repeated spam in trade, in which he offered to craft Devilsaur gear for a fee. He has not come back online since, neither has anyone in his guild. Is there anything i can do against this? I have no screenshot of the trade (i wasn't assuming i would be scammed after what seemed like a normal conversation), and our chat was quickly spammed out of reach by the World and Trade channel.

Without having any screenshots, your post really doesn't hold up well here in Kangaroo Court.

Sorry for the loss of your mats, some people are just dicks.

The GMs will not do anything about this, as far as I am aware. In the future I would start taking more screenshots of these types of transactions. Sorry :\

Why wouldn't the GM's do anything about scammers? Clearly they should or this game would be cancerous as hell. I'm sure any GM can check trade logs and see you gave and talked to that person, just report them in-game with a ticket.

Make a ticket. GMs did and do solve scammers like this. At least they did have no idea if we even have any gms anymore since it takes weeks to solve any ticket so probably no more gms ingame anymore

Ninjalooting is solved by community and ungoro has its own thread. Weak players that cant pvp and have no guilds to back them up complaining.

Agree with Oakenlix here

It has always been rare to get scammed even on retail because Blizzard would refund you and BAN the person who scammed you.

Ninjalooting however players were never banned on retail so you're right it's a community resolved issue.

Anyways... read the rules, it would make no sense for them not to enforce scamming cause this community would be shit like any game that openly allows scamming.

Read it.

Players can interact in a variety of ways, not all of them constructive. You may encounter players that steal resource nodes, chests, items, lead monsters to new areas and summon demons that raise havoc. Elysium staff will not intervene in these situations as the community may take measures concerning these players.

How would you describe taking someone else's items?

this hunter is new Robin Hood. he did all right. If you had 22 of devilsaur leather, you are member of mafia cartel.

that's why you need your guild with your crafters.

Report this to the GM Staff via in-game ticket, please. Scamming like this is not acceptable, I am sure they will take the time to review logs and investigate this situation properly.

You probalby won't get your stuff back though, but at least the player will be punished, if found breaking the rules.

not a "scam" in the sense that the person cheated or exploited any code or game mechanic to create an unfair advantage. he took advantage of YOU, a moron.

lol i have nothing to do with any of this, you presumptuous twit! It's a risk you take doing business with a person you don't know, and it's why people mkae friends and guilds and have regular crafters they do repeat business with. take it as a lesson learned, like the poor slob who cries for a "scammer/ninja" ban on someone rolling need on world boes. get a spine.

Two different issues there. One can be prevented just need on BOE epics if not said otherwise and solved by community while stealing an items for crafting cannot and is an issue which if reported to GM will be resolved. And calling him a MORON? I want to see you getting enchant done some other way than trading mats to an enchanter.
