Excessive griefing.

Recommended Posts

Hey,

So me and my friends (we're between 32-33) killed a 30 something orc warrior who proceeded to log onto his 60 mage and ganked us. Which makes sense except he kept doing it for good 20 minutes on our corpses.

We left for Stv and he apparently followed us there with his alliance alt and continued ganking me and my friends for 15 minutes at the rebel camp.

After that he spammed grp invites to try to find my friends.

Is this kind of behavior accepted by the server, I can understand ganking lowbies and getting revenge but this seems pretty excessive and will only drive new players away.

Yes that is allowed.  Stv is usually like a stirred up hornets nest anyway.  There is a PvE server if getting owned by higher levels is too bothersome.

So if I wanted I could follow someone where ever they went and completely stopped them from playing if I felt so ?

I get ganking but this shits just retarded.

Just return the favor once you hit 60 and gank lowbies like NEVER before. =)

Plus, it sounds like you and your friend gank everyone you see (which I do as well, part of the fun of leveling). So, if that happens just take a break and make him waste his time.

Not allowed to use multiple accounts at the same time (unless both are in a major city)

He was just assuming it was the same player which could be a correct assumption but it could also be just a friend.  If it's in fact the same player and both his chars were in game at the same time then you are correct that that is not allowed.

How does ganking lowbies return the favor if they aren't the ones who ganked him in the first place?

What you said is quite dumb.

Hello Shavs!

Yes, this is part of the game, and we allow this to happen. This is mentioned in our Terms of Use, the specific section you can read below:

Quote

The Elysium staff recognizes all play styles to be valid and a part of the game and not harassment. Killing players of your opposing faction, including camping players at spirit healers, corpses and/or gravestones, is considered a part of the game.

The normal escalation a player can make when this happens is to call for help via local chat, or your guild/friends. In a PvP server, this kind of behavior is expected. I hope that clears everything up for you!

What is the definition of a gank? While leveling on a PvP server you expect and if you don't in turn kill all red at least once while leveling or once you hit 60. Then you are playing the game wrong.

I gank everyone I see at least once and if you happen to be in my area. If you dont want to get ganked some more, you better go somewhere else. if not Wpvp happens and that is hella fun, dont matter what level.

While this is all very interesting to know, you didn't answer the question. Not that it matters though, anyway.

If you are driven away by a 60 wasting his time chasing you around, then you should probably play on a pve server.

For me, hunting, and being hunted (even by skulls) is part of the fun. If you allow yourself to be camped, you suck, and should work on your escape skills. Or you can just go jerk off for a half hour (maybe go take a shower, ya dirty), or go outside or something, if you can't figure out how to escape.

So you gank a lone player with your friends and expect no reprecussions on a PvP server? Go play on a PvE server where there is consensual PvP.

You guys ganked him first by teaming up on him, so you can't really play the victim.

He's a victim if the guy is multi boxing to track him down.  If that's not the case then this pretty awesome for several reasons.

that is your mind. but in practice, by doing so, you would get bored. boredom has always caused you in your previous life to abandon something. yes, in theory you could do that, but not in praxis due to limited capacities
