Twinking & BG's - a dying breed?

I feel I speak on behalf of all those who twink in the brackets of 19/29/39 - I cannot get into game going on Anathema anymore. It frustrates me that I have spent a ridiculous amount of time for nearly no reward. To me twinking was the best part of the vanilla days. It offered those who were fatigued by gearing the ability to stay in a fixed content world - the opportunity to come back and play without the worry of future content upgrades. Our gears would remain all mighty and powerful. 

My suggestion enable cross realm BG's for lower level brackets. I feel twinking is relatively undiscovered by the majority, and it offers an opportunity for the longer term stability of veteran players giving them incentive to come back and play casually. I miss it so much.

Implementing an /XPoff command would likely also help twinking, as it would reduce some of the "barriers for entry" by reducing some of the "pre-planning" needed for gear farming.

Probably not a tremendous boost to twinking, but likely something that would make twinking more appealing to "less invested" players

I am also very frustrated. My main bracket is 39 and we had so many great games going on some weeks ago.

Now we have two hours per day with 2-4 challenging warsongs. Thank god allies became much stronger as some players

decided to move from the 29 bracket to 39 and some new players made new twinks.

Nevertheless please allies, queue more often!

Horde is in queue the whole day but allies seem to queue for 2 hours only.

The downside of this movement from 29 to 39 is: Battlegrounds for 29 do not exist anymore!

I made a new 29 char and i´ve been trying to join ws or arathi for 5 !! days. Not a single game!

 

While WoW was new Blizzard never really realized how much fun twinking can be for the players.

We find some stupid "bugs" now in the game. For example the missing level 38 arathi rewards for mail or plate wearers.

A hunter at 39 needs to wear the level 28 version of the boots, while the 39 rogue can wear  the level 38 version.

This is just stupid! Oh ok it is "blizzlike" :)

 

There are some changes that could be made to help reviving the low-level brackets:

- Stop XP

Not a must but it would be nice. I managed to gear all my twinks without it, but it would definitely help some players.

- Battleground announcements ( especially for 19 ... 59 )

Omg i would love to see battlegrounds opening. So many servers have it. Even old Elysium had it.

This would motivate players to join the lower brackets. This leads to my last point.

- Remote registration

Wohoo. The not blizzlike!-agents will chase me. The ability to join a battleground while questing

would be so fantastic and convince so many players to join a battleground.

I heard it so many times: " No i can´t join a bg, it takes so long to come back and continue questing. Just a waste of exps.".

So you are questing somewhere, the bg announcer pops "warsong 20-29 started", you join the game and after that you 

just continue what you were doing before. Wonderful!

 

A few changes could revive the whole low-level pvp-scene.

pretty sure the low level pvp scene isn't there because of the twinks. No one whats to queue up into twinks. Your better off asking for twink only bgs.

All the twinking brackets are down because only the twinks queue not a single leveler is queue'ing because PvP is pretty much death.

The staff rather chooses disabling multi BG queue over actually removing the players who abuse this system isnt helping either..

Also the population in decline is taking a turn for the worse. I have been making post about people trolling and spamming in worldchat "server death" when we still had 6k people. People are reaping what they are sowing.

I have a fair geared 60 warlock on Anathema but if the twinking scene keeps getting neglected no reason left for me to play here.

 

BG announcements would be a great step in the right direction also multi queue (patch 1.9) and staff organized events. Having a server isnt just hosting a forum and a server.  Its actively engaging WITH your community and actively BUILDING your community because that's what keeps players coming everyday to their favorite server - a sence of belonging, a part of a greater being.

I'm a huge fan of twinking, but on wotlk only. rest of twinking is pretty much stupid.

Post wotlk = overgeared super-characters that can solo Lich King on 19

Pre wotlk = no xp lock make you be in jail. Limited movement options is not what I like.

 

And do you have at least slight idea how complicated is, to make x-realm stuff ?

I think we have come to a point where we have to ask ourselves if the "Not blizzlike!" attitude still gives us the opportunity

The unwillingness to change anything what the sacred blizz-devs created back then took us to the point where we are complaining

about dying population and a non-existing PvP environment under 60.

If there were any games at all except the 2 warsongs at 39 a day i would not argue at all or suggest to add new features, believe me.

Low-level-PvP is dying. This is serious.

We need some adjustments or this is going to be the end.

A twink can be compared with a high warlord or field marshall in his bracket.

His gear is optimized for maximum dps or heal.

Do you also complain about playing against a r13 character?

But they want to play with twinks?

They rush to 60, then rush to raids where got theyr 60lvl geared character after months, then go to bg and farm that bg like dungeon for better gear or got farmed? I think too many will get stopxp and create geared character at level 19 or 29, when they know this )

It´s no big deal. Kazuma said it several times that he does not want xp off. Nobody knows why so what...

On the other side he wants bg announcements which is hmmm "blizzlike"?

Fact is he is active in low-level-bgs and that´s great. I wish more people would join the scene.

99% rush to level 60 and get farmed by premades in bgs.

If you want max pvp gear at 60 you need to play 24/7 bgs. Have fun!

If you want max gear at 19,29,39 you need to visit some dungeons and invest some gold, that´s all.

At 39 we have competitive games, no dodging, twinks on both sides and a lot of fun.

If you are a casual player and bored of getting farmed at 60 you should try it out. 

You won´t regret!

Twinking should be easier for balance on low level battlegrounds. There good way to make your own twink on both sides and playing for the side that loses in most games. For good game, we have not another cause here.

it is not about making balance, it is about all the new people who are just leveling up who want to have a fair fight with the opposite faction. That is nullified when there are only twinks and 50%+ of the team is twinks =).

The only reason this topic comes up from a Twink is because they are asking for custom changes, the only thing they have in mind is benefit for twinks only. There is no benefit of all from a Ego point of view.

If you dont get what im saying. Ego is 1. selfish and 2. does more harm than good 3. has no healthy solutions/conclusions.

The Battleground announcer is a good suggestion. Doesnt change anything to the game then informing the players and is in favor for all players of all levels.
