State of Elysium — Emergency Maintenance

Dear Players,

Today we had an incident which caused all mobs on Elysium PvP to be severely broken for approximately 184 seconds — during this time period, an abnormal amount of XP, item and gold was awarded to players. With roughly 10-30 loots (on average) per second.

We have discussed this internally and unfortunately, there is no way we can ensure that all the gold and items will be removed in a timely manner. The last backup that (successfully) ran was 7 hours ago. We do backups every 3 hours but the latest backup did not run because we were completing maintenance on the backup script in place as we are moving towards a new backup procedure/scripting process that is more efficient than the current one we have.

This means that there will be a rollback of approximately 7 hours of gameplay (rollback will be to 12:00 server time — we deeply apologize for this. We will do a Q&A on the voice discord after the backups have been restored and the server is back in working order.

i dont care for the gamestate to be rolled back, in fact im glad you did react that fast. keep up the good work guys.......

i just dont get one thing, how comes the mobs suddenly go crazy and yield more exp and drop more gold? because i didnt see any news from u doing updates in that direction

Think they said in discord something about the data tables for them getting corrupted somehow, don't quote me though, but that certainly seems consistent anyway since the xp values/level/money dropped all seemingly got randomized

no just no.im online since 10-11 today to try and get mining to 65 so i can start questing in barrens and now you are telling me that i have to do that again?do you know how incredibly boring is to run around trying to find nodes and nodes havea smnall chance to give you lvl?no just no.im not doing that again for 5 hours.farewell i wish you the best

7 Hours rollback is pretty fucking intense. Spending all day today farming and grinding, now looking to loosing all that stuff. - Tbh i couldnt care less that i lost my items and such. But 7 hours is a pretty fucking horrible rollback.

So if I have been grinding xp from 12:00-20:00, (logged of before server shutdown) will I still lose my xp gained?
