This is already starting to getting two-edged. One camp or the other. 

This is a good server atleast, its not like they are shitting on people by making this server and on the other side "Go back to retail" retards have already appeared. 

The only thing i find absurd, is the rollback time here. - It seems like a massive price to pay for 58 players getting ahead. This makes me wonder what it was, and how it will be avoided in the future.

If some of the screenshots I've seen are to be believed, during this downtime some players were looting upwards of 20,000g from a single mob, if those same multipliers were applied to xp it's likely that not only were people playing during this time able to multiply the gold in the economy many times over but we conceivably instantly got a lot more 60's.

The rollback sucks and all, but frankly I'd rather lose 7 hours gameplay than deal with the ramifications of this error.

My friend and another guildie both looted over 80k gold from a single mob just before they took server down.

Blizzard gets away with DAYS of lag or servers being down a lot longer on a yearly basis, at which the servers aren't playable for days.

Now the one time something major actually happens here (where you play for free) they'e beyond open and honest towards the community and all I hear is bitching and moaning.

They're doing their best and i'd assume they'll learn from this lesson so something similar most likely won't ever happen again.

I would how ever like an ETA on when the servers will be back up and running.

shit happens we know it. they are excused for things like that.the decision they took is not ok though.why rollback 7 hours?close the server for 2 days to solve it without rollback.

The point is on twitter they've said they know the certain characters and for exactly how many seconds the exploitations were occuring. So with this information, (unless being liars) why would action not be taken upon certain characters in a timely manner without rollback and with server up and running in <1hr? NO REASON other than ELysium sucks. dick.

If that screenshot represents what happened, I take back my earlier criticism! Would be nice if they could handle it on a smaller basis but if not, I understand why the rollback is needed.

If over 20k gold dropped for some people, lets say 50+ people.. that's an insane influx of gold that would damage the server long run.
