Recommended Posts

I play wow for from vanilla but i never raided. I want to start to raid on this server but i have no idea like boss mechanics etc. Should I stick to my PVP or what would you guys suggest me to do?

- Watch videos of boss fights so you have a basic understanding of how they work

- Download and install raiding addons (threat meters, boss encounter mods, class/role specific mods like decurse, etc.)

- Assuming you join a raid guild, let the officers/class leaders know you're new to raiding so they know to walk you through how they do certain bosses or raids

Raiding in vanilla is largely about awareness, preparing and participation.  If you can manage to show up on time every raid, come prepared with the correct gear and items and be smart enough to move out of stuff or not get hit by things, you'll be fine.

Ok with raiding for months and not getting gear? No - consider playing retail....

To not get ONE piece of loot in 2 months in a guild that's farming several bosses means that your guild is a corrupt loot council, or you just aren't pulling your weight and they find that you don't deserve loot. If it's DKP, then show up to more of the raids and you will get gear. Yes, it's going to take you several months at least to get all the gear you want from a raid if you are an average player, but you should get at least something in the first two months.

When you are melee dps, this can happen even with dkp. Happened to me in retail vanilla when we raided MC for several months.

You were probably shit at the game and/or you didn't show up to much raids at all.

What do you plan to achieve in PvP if you dont raid? You cant reach r13/r14 by playing casual either. It's easier finding a good guild, gearing up and killing Cthun than reaching r14. When it comes to pugs, on Anathema there are TONS of successful MC clearing pugs being run every week and a couple BWL clearing pugs aswell.

I bring up the easiest solution for you, as you look like some solo player.

1- Roll some class that doesnt suck at farming gold

2- get the blings

3- pay a farm status guild for raid items since there are many who do it

Ta-daaaa

Indeed. I play to play, not to socialize. My RL friends don't play. Whatever few online WOW friends I've had, were pvpers like me.
