Superomegaop 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2017 i don't know whats up, its similar to where people logged into the game from a second wow application to automatically disconnect from the world. but since that got patched out i don't know how they do it. even people with dots on them just disappear, they don't wait the 20 seconds for their characters to disappear its just gone. maybe its the wonky phasing and render distance but im not too sure. it also could be that they got a bg pop but i doubt random pre-60s questing just happened to get a bg pop at the right time.

Porta 10 Report post Posted July 4, 2017 Dont they pull their lan cable? If so how would devs/code differentiate a real dc from a forced one? Seems hard
Bruwlar 1 Report post Posted July 4, 2017 I think, only by pull there lan cable it couldn't work like this, cause the char isn't logged out instantly, rather he's online for a few seconds, so dotz would tick or some melee swings can land the target. I saw it on my char, cause my dog found it very funny to play with the lan-switch and pull out the cable of the power adapter ;) and my char was infight, after relog he was dead. So only pulling out lan cable couldn't be the reason.

Its either invis pot, cloaking device, bg pop, getting summoned.

Morathe 5 Report post Posted July 5, 2017 Dude said that render distance might've been an issue so I assume he was chasing after someone and combat dropped off.

Guest Report post Posted July 5, 2017 BG popping is going to be 99% of the reason why someone just disappears when you get the drop on them.
