Ash 22 Report post Posted July 23, 2017 Dear community, We would like to apologize for the recent downtime regarding the servers. I have no other way to say this, and we are not trolling... so bare with me. Staden (Lead Developer) has been working on core fixes to stop the servers from crashing. And he was ready to implement the features on to the servers. Unfortunately, during the process, lightning struck his house and it completely fried his computer so he is unable to upload or fix any issues at this time. He is currently passing information on to the System Administrators and they're trying to stabilize things in the meantime. We fully understand it is frustrating, so within the next week we will be trying to find a solution and plan ahead. The servers can still run, they're just struggling a little bit at the moment due to a high rise of population in the last few days. Regards, Elysium Staff. Note: Thank you for your support. Just out of curiousity, is the reason for the core crash issues that I assume sneaked through last weeks maintenance known at least? Cause I would say that is the more pressing question people are asking. There were a few areas that required attention which can be addressed. I'm pointing that out precisely because the community or rather reddit/wowservers is sure to rip apart a "lightning strike", this is the internet afterall. I have never much cared, nor blown up anything that PS did, nor do I pay heed to what happens on these kind of forums.
