FEYAARES 3 Report post Posted August 2, 2017 Hello ! Anathema is a really really cool server ! For the moment there is between 1k and 2k people but if some people like you start to play on it will be better really soon :) And it's more easy to get gold !
Oakenlix 79 Report post Posted August 2, 2017 This thread is a pile of bollocks. Waiting 30 minutes to get a mob in a starting zone? Well unless you're afk for 20 of those minutes this is hardly possible. It wasn't that bad even with 10k population either.
Rickrolled 4 Report post Posted August 2, 2017 The Anathema population would love some of ya.
Nepgear 5 Report post Posted August 2, 2017 We have 3 servers. 2 of them have somewhat about blizzlike population but all of you still coming to "overpopulated" one and complain. Just roll on other one and play in comfort.

FEYAARES 3 Report post Posted August 3, 2017 They will do something regarding the pop. Actually it's low pop but not unplayable (I've played on retail server with less ppl) and really easy for lvling because it's not full of people trying to kill the same mob and no stupid 60 farming you. So at the end it's easy to get your mount and you will have money for the future :)
Drain 19 Report post Posted August 3, 2017 Come to Anathema. Plenty of room here. Getting mobs is no problem at all.

I'd like to try that out as well (just starting on Elysium in general), but can you get consistent dungeon groups at max and while leveling? Also how are BG queue's?

For me, it's more like "when that ole' lag monster on Elysium makes its daily visit and your MS meter jumps from 100 to 5000ms and you can't even move your character...just take the time to jump on over to Anathema to play a little, till the lag monster gets bored and decides to move on" .

Also how are BG queue's? Dungeons while leveling are mostly gone. The easy to access ones are still popular (ie RFC DM WC), but forget about the POS ones (Uldaman). The trade off is that quest areas are uncontested, and being ganked is rare. At 60 dungeons are rare unless you start your own as tank/heal (if you're damage, GL). PVP has actually gotten much nicer because there's less competition for standing. It's easier than ever to get ranks. There also isn't premades stomping pugs 24 7 like Nost used to have. You can actually play the game. But most people on both sides are covered in purples, so you're little more than dead weight until you get better equipment.

You got your locations mixed up mate
Drain 19 Report post Posted August 5, 2017 I'm on the Horde. WC is right next to one of our towns, which is between 2 cities. Uldaman is out in bumfuck no where.
jdavidlol 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2017 The server is definitely over populated. Whether that is a bad thing is up to the player I guess... I personally wish it was like 3.5 to 4K all the time... but ayyyyyy what can you do. The leveling is only tolerable for me during NA hours (and even that is pretty much a shit show for some questing areas)... 8K players is fucking insane. It's great at high levels for dungeons and raids... but farming is a complete shit show and there are gold farmers and sellers on the server. That being said... those things kind of come with a high population. You may be better off checking out Anathema.. or another server if you just can't put up with the high pop on Elysium. It really is a slow painful grind to max level once you get to PvP zones. Expect to be ganked and sometimes camped to the point where you can not play if you are playing during peak hours. Even in off hours I get jumped like 5 times an hour or more depending on the zone (STV is pretty much an all out war zone).
FEYAARES 3 Report post Posted August 7, 2017 It's hard on Elysium but it's hard on Anathema too... I've started to lvl my 52 sham again this weekend. It was looking cool in a first time. Thunderbluff and Undercity was sadly quit empty... you can deal with it, not a big issue. But for the lvling part... finding someone for a group quest is really more difficult, except if you are lucky. Good point : easy gold and the player base is really cool.
Drain 19 Report post Posted August 8, 2017 You don't need any group quests or even dungeons to get 60. These are just bonuses. You can also make some really good money farming the right mobs while leveling. Mounts have never been easier to fund.

There's also a realm status page that shows realms populations and factions ratios, quite a useful tool.

A high population is good cause you can easily find people to do dungeons raids and pvp. But to elysium high population means huge delays even when pings are super low. I wouldt roll on elysium if could choose again.. But i invested too much time in my characters To go back.. There are better alternatives to choose from. But if you are stubborn enoguh to play here at least dont pick melee class .. The lag makes it even worse for them
