I'm still getting a wrong ip for logon.elysium-project.org. I get 91.230.121.155 which is in Ukraine instead of 164.132.233.125 which is in France.

 

Have to use this :

set realmlist 164.132.233.125

Yes, if "ping logon.elysium-project.org" takes you somewhere else than 164.132.233.125, then please put that in your realmlist or use Google's DNS server instead of your local ISP one.

So the stress test is over and what now? What I've heard is that they will first release the Nost PvP server .. does that mean that old Nost players will get their characters back?

 

And I also thought it's called "Elysium" now ... and what is this fresh realm then?

The fresh PvP realm will be called Elysium PvP.

 

The stress tests are now over, now we wait with held breath for the release our the original Nost PvP server.  I will need to hold my breath a bit longer though because I want to start fresh with Elysium PvP

By the way, did anyone find Kazzak in Arathi Highlands? Between the rollbacks and spiders and raptors camping my corpse I couldn't find anything. Also, seemed like raid groups transformed into Ironforge raids for some reason.

I dunno about Kazzak, but I did get hit and killed by an AoE shadowbolt for 800+ from a "Skeletal Warrio".

 

Didn't see it anywhere though.

Took my dwarf warrior to Winterspring, met with two night elves there. We had a grand ole time.

I must be one of the few people who didn't have much luck with the stress test. Inbetween "disconnect" screens I managed to run from Mulgore to Deso just to get disconnected. By the time I could get back into the game the 5 minute server warning popped up.

When I could play my ping would bounce between 140ms and 1300ms.

I don't think it was a DNS issue on my end because I've played on Elysium (and every other private server) without this kind of "disconnect" issue.

So yea, it was a pretty frustrating experience.

I too had a few disconnects, I think most people did. There was also quite a bit of lag in severely populated areas. But you are correct, once you have connected DNS is irrelevant and shouldn't be the cause of any problems.
