Rough time played estimates

Recommended Posts

So I'm wanting a general required /played estimate. I've heard everything from about 6days played time to 12days played time... not that it matters just curious really.

Also, what is the difference from time played to go 1-30 versus 30-60 if that makes sense. I thank you in advance.

According to statistics, on old Nost the average time for 1-60 was 10 days /played - meaning 250 hours.

Yeah, the average /played to go from 1-60 is 10 days or 240-250 hours. But if you know what you're doing, you can do it in a lot less. IIRC the fastest vanilla leveler in the world could level Hunters 1-60 in about 4.5 days.

Leveling speed depends on the class, but all classes are capable of leveling 1-60 solo in 6-7 days /played.

1-20 can be done in about 12 hours /played, if you skip professions and just do questing/grinding. Not sure about the rest of the timings, never really noticed.

I'm gonna guess 30-60 is probably three times as long as 1-30.  Who knows though.  I can tell you it takes me about 3 months to level, whereas some people in my guilds do it in two weeks....which is kooky-crazy to me.  I just can't be interested in speed.  There are guides out there that show the most efficient way to level, step by step.

When people throw these stats out I always wonder if these are assuming zero competition. Isn't a fresh start server going to slow down the normal leveling times significantly?

well...I spent the first two days just laughing and looking around on Nost PvP.  Overall, if the server is stable, probably won't make much difference in the long run.

Just depends on how well you level. I always hit 30 in about 2 days, and then it'd take me anywhere from a week to two weeks to hit 60 after that.

I think the leveling is going to be a bit slower than usual on this server. Two reason: 1. Overcrowding for resources/quests/mobs. 2. Contested zones are going to be hellacious PvP battlefields of awesomeness.

Two reasons that are AWESOME btw. :P

Well I can give you my personal tips about how I got 60 in 4d17h on Nost PVP.

1) I never used questie. I used joannas guide atlas suited. Gives you coords/routes/where to register hs/other sweet tricks. I did quests only, not a single grinding, unless i waited for some respawn etc.

2) Avoid PvP by any chance, even if it's an easy score. There's always some 60 friend or alt around the corner.

3) Don't do any low lvl 5mens, except few. I did 2x uldaman (for necklace q) and 1x ZF. Those 2 have insane amount of xp right when you need it.

4) No profs/buy only essential skills etc. Hope u get mount at 40, i didn't, but luckely i was pally so ye.. free mount.

5) As a pally I bought str/agil items from AH at around lvl 45 and фекал died fast. I have seen a lot of ppl with stamina gear, prolly hoping to avoid gankers or smth.. well avoiding pvp i literally died like 20 times max till lvl 60 in pvp(ganking) action.

6) log out in inns or cities for max rested bonus.

7) try to grp up with ppl so you dont fight over same mobs/mob boss etc. Especially if those are for kills, not q items.

So ye, the tips were pretty obvious you might say. ;) but ye, if average is 10d then getting 60 under 5d sounds better, doesnt it? Try it out yourself. Best of luck!!!

130 hours is around the acceptable range depending on the class (for me) if I'm semi-rushing through the content. In terms of fresh start mayhem I'd say 1-30 will take 30-34 hours (usually 24-26)  once you factor in the extra time levels 1-12 takes, crashes, queue times, lag spikes, etc. 30-60 will probably be 10-20% slower than normal if your a serious leveler since you'll most likely be ahead of the blob.

Personally, I'll be aiming to get around the 5.5 days /played mark, and depending on the launch date, will be like 8 days real-time. I'm sure I'll take it easy here and there cuz nostalgia gets me :)

Depends on class, hunters / Locks will level a lot faster due to no down time / pets. Vs say a Warrior who solo lvl's. It depends on how much you want to sink on everything as well. Mounts, enchants world PVP players around you. 30-60 depends on class as well, imho. depending on how much you want to / can grind out 30-60 you'll still have alot of quest, if you do dungis etc.  by 59 i didn't even touch winterspring or silthus myself.

I'm hoping I will be able to do it in 2 weeks.

That's all the annual leave I have left and I want to spend it all on this.

Are you talking about Elysium PvP? You hope to play on it in 2 weeks? That simply won't happen...

6-8 days played depending on class, professions learned while leveling and knowledge on where it's best to quest/grind.
I leveled my Priest a bit under 8 days but I did Herbalism up to 170 and Tailoring up to ~270 before hitting 60. Leveled a Warlock as well to 60 in 7 days and few hours with no professions but I wasn't exactly 'speedrunning'.

10-14 days played again depending on class but mainly if you have lesser knowledge on how to level at best efficiency.

Not everyone is talking about fresh start servers all the time.

And why exactly are you assuming that we're assuming zero competition?
