Rayaleith 2 Report post Posted December 3, 2016 No, not everyone will be using Joanas guide. Some people actaully choose to quest the way you're supposed to. There's no way for you to keep track of what route everbody's taking. Just because people are killing the same mobs like you does not mean they are a sheep like you. Banezilla 2 Report post Posted December 3, 2016 The old PvP server will be a zoo on release too, it will be interesting to see how many people roll there just for fun since there are no other options.

Ellipsea 36 Report post Posted December 3, 2016 The open of the PvE server was a little crazier than the PvP one. With the PvP one I didn't do much but chat with people and get the guild organized. The second day I was level 2 : P that's how slow moving I was. I didn't care...no hurry. What's the hurry? When the PvE one opened, I started human character first....and the first thing I did was just start running. Sw-IF-Menethil-Arathi-Hillbrad-back to menthil-boat to Darnassus. I did that for a couple hours just picking up every FP, I even took the boat back to Menethil jumped in the water and swam to west fall for the hell of it. That will get you to about level three-four in XP with the added bonus of having a ton of Fps in advance and not having to stand there waiting for one mob to spawn : P Plus if this is your first time back to vanilla in a long long time, it's nice to see the world again.

I started a Warlock alt 4 days before the news dropped, as I thought the merger was gonna happen. Got him done with west fall area almost 150 herb/ alch already. So I'll get to dodge a lot of the crazy newbie zones as long as I rush through the next zone.

Xykaru 1 Report post Posted December 4, 2016 If you are planning "how to lvl up" or "what is the best way" you are gonna get burnt around lvl 30 and quit. The way of leveling is enjoying the game, environment and all it's paths, because it is a really long journey. The beauty of the server will be that, upon getting burned out, you can go world pvp against people your level without the threat of high levels coming to gank you, or someone getting on their 60 main to get revenge. Not to mention there will be an unlimited supply of people to kill.
Xykaru 1 Report post Posted December 4, 2016 Stranglethorn... someone around here equated that to Vietnam. I chuckled my попа off when I read that With the increase in player base compared to Nost on release, I think that the Vietnam reference is going to be more like WW3.
Draegon 1 Report post Posted December 4, 2016 Now all of that was crazy but manageable. What do you think the new servers pop will be? 3k? Unlikely. 6k? 8? 10? 6 would be DOUBLE what we dealt with. Can you imagine twice as many people? 9k would be three times the number. At a certain point population goes from fun to cool to not good rapidly. I think there's going to be a lot of people that should consider that starting fresh on the fresh server may not be as appealing as they are making it out to be. As the server grew, we got used to having a pop of 8-10k. We did not start out with a pop like that. I'm not concerned for any of the servers but I think a lot of you who are excited for the new realm are underestimating what the effect is going to be because of the hype. I played on Nost when it had 30k+ at peak times. Great for content and played fine off peak times. But the lag at peak times man... The ваууing lag... I wouldn't mind if Nost PvP would have 4-8k online at average now.

The max nost ever had was like 13k. 8k was in the off hours and yeah when it was that much it wasn't that bad. Ideal would be a little less to me.
