tannertothej 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) I love duel wielding as a tauren warrior in pvp for pure role play joy and i like playing warrior in WoW. I leveled one in vanilla so i know how frustrating it can be, but is one handed duel wielding warrior viable at all at 60 for pvp? Need help with this to decide what i want to play. Edit: just realized I spelled dual wrong. Don't hate Edited December 7, 2016 by tannertothej

Xykaru 1 Report post Posted December 7, 2016 Like any warrior spec, you'll be heavily gear reliant. If only shamans had dual wield in Vanilla
Undertanker 88 Report post Posted December 7, 2016 Like any warrior spec, you'll be heavily gear reliant. If only shamans had dual wield in Vanilla Why? They get priority on Hand of Rag. Earth Shaker is nice too until then. Can also rock Axe from Cthun.
Strahl 2 Report post Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) It'll never be as competitive as a solid 2h with Arms. dmg output is considerably higher as fury while burst is considerably lower. as horde I wouldn't bother with it. WF is simply too strong with 2handers. as alliance though... I used to play alliance fury warrior in vanilla aswell as other private servers. it rocks. period. the damage, pushbacks, fear immunity, burst cooldown and better chances against shielded targets are all reasons why I liked fury. it will suck monkey balls against rogues though. the only thing that I was really missing from time to time was.... who would have thought... MS. the debuff is just too damn powerful in pvp. if you are lucky enought to have another warrior to put it up for you you'll be fine ofcourse. enjoy Edited December 13, 2016 by Travolta
HDwarrior 20 Report post Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) Without better one-handed weapons you can't kill some of players with high armor. Edited December 13, 2016 by HDwarrior
ravens 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2016 It's extremely reliant on gear where as with arms even a not-so geared arms warrior can do a ton of damage. The main issue is that you need enough hit rating 7-9% otherwise you will just miss all the time but to get that hit you will take gear with little to no stam so fury warriors end up having very low health unless super geared. This is a problem because health is a warriors defense and you can see in the Swifty video he has 6k hp and lifegiving gem and barely kills people. An arms warrior would do a million times better with that gear. The other issue is burst and this is a big one for warriors because against mages for example you will only get a short window to attack them before you're endlessly kited and rooted. Fury needs high up time to ramp up it's damage where as arms can burst at any moment. Even fighting rogues will be a challenge as fury where as arms its a joke. I've lost to total trash players as fury 1v1 but as arms I've 1v3'd rank 10-13 warrior/mage/rogue with just smashing buttons. If you want to do well in PvP fury will make you really mad. There's one thing that can help tho and that's using sunder armor on everyone 1-3 stacks can really make all the difference. If you look at the swifty video he does it on everyone and if he didn't he would have no chance. So you can do that and be way more successful but still it's very hard without insane gear. All the PvP videos of fury are basically recklessness spam because it's always an uphill battle. I would highly recommend testing it for yourself in an instant 60 server before you decide to level to 60 as a warrior.

Don't bring innocent monkeys into your pathetic brawn fights! If you ever saw monkey balls you would saviour that moment for the rest of your life. It is said to bring good luck to all, and fortune to some! Don't make me show your warriors how to throw a real fight, ha!
