Sad part is that the great Nost PvP and PvE servers will be infected with cancer everywhere too until the fresh realm launches. This will be the time all the tumors are going to infect another poor baby.

 

Thank god I have higher toons on the Nost PvE and PvP - hoping the infection will not reach me before fresh realm launches.

you are right, lotsa people who simply are not content with the fact that the elysium devs are doing us an amazing service which we are lucky to have at all. i was originally planning on rolling fresh but after seeing the kinds of people rolling there I'm quickly changing my mind.

Yes pretty much I've heard many times that Nost has a good community, and even though I'd love to wait for a pristine serv I consider joining nost pvp side. This whiny/spoiled crowd that appeared lately is appaling and I hope it won't represent most of the fresh server population.

First thing I'm going to do when Nost opens is go to Red Ridge and gank every single player I possibly can. As a resto druid, Red Ridge is my playground.

To be frank with you, it's probably related just to old Nostalrius PvE. Nostalrius PvP was just as toxic as Kronos, or at least it was to the point when you manage to get your self into decent guild and can just shut down world chat. Because of difference in nature of PvE, people were generally more tolerant there, or it may be just my personal experience. 

 

However, it is more likely that people have just blown their memories out of the proportion after Nost shut down. Entire event kinda turned Nostalrius into martyrs, and therefor so many nice comments about community. Reality is that people can chose what they want to see in game, while on the forums they don't have such commodity. I remember all the drama on old forums when they were deciding about opening of PvE realm. Mindless bots were polluting forums with their comments how it is going to ruin population, divide us, etc...all coated in just as ill language as most of the conversations regarding old realms vs new realm now days are. And you are right, some of them are extremely whiny and spoiled, but some other are generally ok kids who just need to blow off some steam, as Faith put it above.

 

My advice to you is to either ignore their existence, or just stop visiting forums, because internet is what it is. Neither you, nor me, are going to change their spoiled way of thinking, and we'd just waste our time and energy trying to make them do so. Embrace what you are and be grateful that you are not thinking as one of those bots.

God that K-1 toxicity is nothing compared to here.

Literally 1,000 people spamming "get off of our server". People would setup Nost refugee camping shifts, and opposing factions would keep all quest givers dead at major quest hubs to keep us from leveling. People waiting on PVP queues would sit on the boats and prevent you from using them. Flightmasters? Either dead, camped or kited.

Every forum post was f uc k Nost players, ruining our server and how to make our life harder.

Ironic how a lo f of us "Nost Refugees" cleared AQ while their guilds either broke up or got stuck at 6/9.

I am using absolutely wonderful uber superior character names. Both my toons are split between both servers and I am planning to reunite them using the same name on one server (so having to recreate one on the other server). Chances are high to get my names copied/stolen when someone reads it.

It's just that whenever someone links a char or says "What does your char look like" most people insist on not showing who they actually are. I just think it's weird.

 

You are right though, I am rolling fresh. I want to play Vanilla for as long as I can and I like the appeal of a realm with no pre-established guilds.
