Why delay the fresh if we are enough players?

For a lot of people complaining this topic is "a waste of time", you sure invest time and words in keeping it alive. :diver:

The fact that they started asking for money explains the fresh server delay.

Lel at people who actually believe it takes them 4 weeks for an extra server when they have everything already set up. It took them less time for the giant clusterfook of work that was updating the core, merging the old account databases while also doing mega stress tests. It would take them less than an actual day to start a fresh server.

They needed to cater to the rabid old pvp players because they are the ones that would throw the most donations since they are so obsessed with their old chars they would sell their mom and 3 kidneys to play them again.

Well, ok. We said not to fight on this any more but this guy is right.

P.S. I вау "Uncle Ganus of Clan McAnus" in the попа

we... don't make me laugh. that includes me aswell as I have 60s on nostalrius. its always a shame when I have to burst peoples bubble, but you are nothing special. not in the very least. okay, you are special, just not in a positive way.

that last line about instant gratification and spoiled babies? wtf you going on about. isn't it you that wants his old chars back? guess you also cry about instant 60 servers, right?

how would it hurt you if players that want to start out new were allowed to play at the same time as you? explain

This has nothing to do with specialness, this had to do with the nost/elysium team doing what was in their best interests and that getting all of the old characters back first. Now you, and all of these other spoiled legion babies like alexsensual, come and make a thread and cry about it.

We got what we wanted first. We won and you lost. All you can do is be big blyats about it and whine endlessly.

let's be honest the people staying on old nostalrius is just upset that people will leave their server making the hardcore time they spent farming gear useless

Na it's not useless because even if the server went down to a 500 peak population we could still pvp amongst each other which is the only thing that really matters in this game.

They said they were not gonna change their launch plan. Period.

No point of complaining at this point really since these people put lots of efforts in their work, and they deserve a great holiday with their family...

Complaints kinda imply a sense of entitlement which really should not be here since these people do their work voluntarily...

...gosh, I hope they release the fresh server before Jan so I can play on it before holiday

These threads would stop if they actually gave those here for the fresh server a date.

Honestly. Unless the server date was like 5 minutes after the announcement, I doubt it.

How is picking up from where you left off not an option? I don't understand why so many people just want to throw away their time. You may have only gotten to level 30 or 40 and missed out on the original launch (highly overrated by the way) which I understand, but throwing away level 60 characters just so you can experience leveling again which will last two weeks at most?

Then it's back to the ol grind. Doing 30 runs of stratholme to get your pre-bis items, staying awake all night so you can reach the week's honor cap, and spending countless hours on other things. And to think you wouldn't have to do all of this again if you used your head.

Two weeks to level to 60?  Holy crap.  I agree with your post, but hitting 60 in 2 weeks in vanilla seems more like work.  I remember taking several weeks out of the grind to level up Enchanting and spam Org, to fund my guildies' mounts.  All of them...it was awesome :)

A lot of people were already 60 by the same time the following month when the original launch occurred. I think people were already farming pre-bis the following week even.

Jesus christ.  While ensuring balanced populations between the 3 realms is part of the impetus behind the release schedule, the main thing is simply staff limitations.  While I'm not sad that they moved up the PvE launch, I am surprised by it.

Say they put up all 3 servers at the same time.  And then they realize that there's some flaw that completely ваууs gameplay.  They've got GMs handling tickets from 3 different servers, they've got to fix code on 3 different servers.  They've got at least 2 servers where people are going to be bitching about gear they think they should have or auctions that they vaguely remember being up.  The staff requirements are front-loaded to the launch.  Once they can be sure that they've got a stable realm (or in this case, realms), then they can reallocate resources and move to the next launch.  But they're not going to give optimistic estimates of the release schedule because the player base will take any estimate as a hard and fast promise and cry like little girls if it doesn't happen.  So take your "1 month" as a conservative estimate and then assume that the fresh realm will probably happen as soon as everyone gets back from visiting their families for Christmas.

Also, on the fresh vs. old thing, yeah, the Nost name is why this project is so hyped.  I played on Elysium, and it was ok, but the reason you have a fresh server to be excited about is because of the return of the old databases.  So stop acting like the Nost players are just entitled jerks.  You have a new server because there are so many of us.  Otherwise, you'd be stuck with K2 and Feenix or jumping to every shitty new server that opens (and then jumping ship again a month later for the next 'latest and greatest' when you realize how shitty it is).

What we are talking about is that the huge amount of the population might require a release of the fresh server much sooner than expected, given the amount of accounts transfered (which might only include the number of transfers, not accounts created), not exactly a release at the same time as the old nost, but might be much sooner than January. Second, it is not us the ones that may potentially complain about long queues, given that most of us will be waiting the fresh server. And third, a lot of us are old nost players.

Well, the old nost pvp folk are acting as entitled jerks, in the sense that they attempt to silence any discussion regarding the fresh server for the sole reason of being afraid that it will dry population from the nost pvp, along with some unreasonable suggestions like asking for preferential queue in the nost pvp launch. The facade that nost pvp are just humble players is quite gone, considering most of their suggestions are meant to screw everyone else to benefit themselves. That is quite apparent now.

They want to repopulate the old servers first, simple as that. No great Illuminary secret behind it.

Though honestly, I don't get how they will manage with the initial surge, the que times will be beyond godlike...

For the BabyRage kids: guys just play your old chars or make alts of classes you never tried and go to Fresh Server rage-free. I just don't get why peeps are so salty. The server won't die, people will stay and do AQ, the population will spread to both servers cuz of the demand. Old Nost had almost 14k people, if it falls down to half of that it would be even better
