These are NOT the Nostalrius Core servers, we were promised.

I wonder - why is this project being advertized as the Nostalrius Core, when clearly, these servers do not live up to this claim?

 

There are SO many issues ingame, that tells the truth.   And I'm certain, people having played on the old Core, can agree.

 

All of the launch hickups - also show that there are far too many "unknown" factors, that prove this Core has never been used by this community before.

 

No showing of player target health?   No big deal, I know.  But we used to have it.

Warlock minions being called..  pet?

Bugged mobs?   Mobs vanishing from the world, never to respawn?

Extremely high damage from regular mobs, such as boars?

Icons on gathering skills, for instance skinning, showing on non-empty corpses?

..  the list goes on.

 

 

Why were we told we would play on the Nostalrius Core?

the servers arnt up even for 24 h and you vine about it ?

nostalrius when launched was not good either

It has 10k on pve and 4k on pve with ddos'ing and the strain on having 1 - 2k+ people piled up in the same zones.

 

Don't make assumptions and just be patient until it improves.

Is there a way to not have friendly player HP show as 100/100 unless they're in your party? Using MobHealth3 + Luna and it kinda ruins the AFK in Org experience when you can't go around looking at tank's HP pools and stuff, I don't remember having this issue on Old Nost

In case you missed it. Nostalrius is under (6) DDOS attacks + copy'ing a database is always a very complicated mather. Give it some time.

You can configure those addons to show you what you want to be shown.

Seriously. Enough with that HP gibberish.

 

Lookup Mobhealth3 and read HOW it calculates hp values and stores them. The values aren't provided serverside. Its a clientside script that calculates the values. If you expect to see the HP of an AFK player you never seen before, then I am sorry to disappoint you. That won't happen! Not on this server or any vanilla server.

Look, another entitled retail crybaby complaining about a free game the first day of launch.  How much did it cost you to change all your toons to pandas?

there was never hp bars showing by default

 

 

the gathering nodes are in the same place as the custom nost nodes that were implemented so I can guarantee it is running nost core

Well, you are wrong. The Nostalrius team themselves said it was their core, so there is that. 

 

And yeah also, stop raging and find some patience, it hasn't even been a day. If you were there at the Nost launch (which it doesn't seem like it), you'd realize that was a фекал show too. 6 DDoS attacks, a 10k pop server and a 4k pop server, they're handling a lot more than Nost did on its first day.

What part of "Free" you do not understand? The dev team is doing volunteer duty to keep the server up and running during a server transfer + DDoS.

I'm not sure you understand how frustrating that is. Try being an admin of a server (any game) and I think you'll understand, till then stfu and enjoy the free ride

I remember murloc's in Elwynn being way too OP and some lvl 13-14 spiders in redridge having 3x the hp they should have, stop acting like nost was perfect to start with. I'm sure there are many other lil bug's that it came with as well but those are ones i remember at lower levels. You need to have an addon to show mob health, its not in the game by default. Pets of the same faction would show red/attackable until you clicked on them etc.

And the Server is nearly 2 days online!!! NEARLY 2 DAYS!

 

Unbelievable! I guess the staff should earn their money, that they not get for it!

6 ? you counted them ? wow ...

hmm and here I was thinking it was just a matter of copying an *.mdf file and Attaching it back to the SQL server ...

Can you inform us how did you get this information ? Also what is this "complication" of copying a database ? :P

I can see some issues adapting it or converting it , but to copy a database ...

oh well .. lets hope they don't get 8 DDoS , please warn us if they do.

Bug Tracker is working , so any bugs should go there and I'm sure as soon as we'r off the "launch time" things will start getting fixed.

@OP: вау off. 

 

Literally lagfree at 11k now. Give them a few days and it'll be fine. Learn patience, maybe meditate some of that entitlement away.

Wow I didn't know they spouted such BS :D Kidna weird , I choose not to be dumb and believe it I guess :P

I do understand that op is kinda asking for too much , but pointing to the "6" DDoS and "compilations of copying a DB " ... that's ... too much.

anyway , back ontopic ..

I do think the servers are more than decent, if ppl find these bugs and report , I'm sure after this launch madness they will start cleaning them up.

Yep cause im sure the "nost core" had no bugs at release!

Hell even retail wow in vanilla had huge issues (server stability) to the point where raid times were laggy as hell. It held guilds back in progress. It didnt get fixed till they updated server hardware (one server at a time).

Actually most Issues proof that the server is really blizzlike, including the bumpy launch :D

 

(To be honest blizz launches were mostly much worse, with fewer people/server....)
