4 reasons to roll Nostalrius-PvP over Elysium

Recommended Posts

NUMBER ONE - Queue

Elysium constantly has a queue, while Nostalrius only has a queue during EU primetime. At this very moment (Monday, Jan 9th) it's NA primetime (9pm EST, 6pm PST) and Nostalrius is at 7000 population and Elysium is at 12,000 with a 2k+ queue with a 2 to 3 hour estimated wait time. During EU primetime it's even worse. For most people the fresh launch experience is over and everyone is already above level 20. Sad to say but most people just missed out already.

NUMBER TWO - Better leveling experience

Quest mobs on Elysium are constantly being slain with most people unable to complete quests in a timely fashion. Nostalrius PvP with its lower population of leveling persons provides a perfect leveling experience that is closest to what you remember.

NUMBER THREE - Better raiding experience

With BWL/ZG out and AQ20/40 expected to be released within two months time Nostalrius PvP has a better raiding experience while Elysium will be stuck at MC/Onyxia for the next 7+ months. People always have concerns about playing catch up, but I assure you that if you make friends and/or roll an in demand class then catching up with current content is not as difficult as it is made out to be.

NUMBER FOUR - Black Lotus

Elysium Black Lotus will be BoP until ZG. This means that those who do not have alchemy and herbalism will have to pay outrageous prices for flasks. People always try to downplay the usefulness of flasks when this point is brought up, but remember that there are several months between BWL's release and ZG's release. Flasks are useful in MC, but even more so when doing BWL. Nostalrius black lotus is at an all time low and players can create flasks at relatively inexpensive prices.

nost pvp/pve will promote itself because it will get content first

What are you talking about? Most of the characters my Census+ catches are between 10 and 20.

Most of the people ARE NOT over 20.

By ghost town I mean that quest mobs are alive. I got the number wrong then, but my point still stands: People are way ahead and many people missed out on this fresh server launch experience thanks to a 20,000 queue.

You mean there is a healthy amount of players in the human starting area, so new players don't need 2+ hours to hit level 5?

Btw at 6 am GMT+1 on a server with a huge amount of european population!

reason 5: get ganked by bored 60s 24/7 in your leveling zones for the optimal pvp server experience

Yeah except you fresh fools never look at the other side of things:

Level 60s HELPING you level.

Nost Pvp doesn't seem too dead 7 AM ST 6500 ppl online and still peaks over 11 000. Most reason to play there would be at least imo being part of the community that started all this and maybe getting to end tier raids little bit faster. The lvl 60 rogues can kill you naked when you are leveling so it really don't matter if they are full t2 or not it's mostly if there is bored lvl 60 to camp lowbies.

On first day I was in after 4 hours after server launched. Ran over to Northshire and mobs were alive. Why? Because mobs respawn every 5seconds after being slain when its heavily populated!

"NUMBER FOUR - Black Lotus"

First you want to roll on the "real vanilla time schedule" - then you want to complain on the fact that it was not BoE until ZG patch release. Isn't it ironic that you intend to vouch in favour of vanilla and at the same time fall back in the same line of wanting it to be simpler?

Hahaha you are delusional.

In shimmering flats, which is the second hot PvP zone levelers encounter (after hillsbrad) a lot of action is happening.

After two hours of fun and questing, I give you a summary of my experience.

Levelers are sometimes ganking, but not too often. Zone is packed to the max. Some horde and ally helping each other. But wait, there are a few dedicated gankers, yes. 4 in every 5 gankers are 60s, probably bored or scared to PvP other 60s. Levelers don't hurt each other nearly as much.

Way to go Nost old-timers, way to scare folks off to Elysium.

Similar was in hillsw and not too different I expect in STV+.

Black lotus being bop is simpler?

Na I'm just saying you're going to have to pay outrageous prices for flasks.

id say black lotus will only go to those that actually need it id say. this way there will be way less ppl farming it, cause theres nothing you can do with it until you are able to make flasks out of it. no ppl farming it for gold, no toon-logging to camp it.

lmfao you clearly didn't play Nostalrius Begin's launch

Did not and it doesn't matter, as it has nothing to do with the discussion here. This is ressurected Nost full of bored 60s ganking lowbies, not 'Nostaltius Begins' whatever that was.

Actually I wonder why you quoted just that and did not attempt to answer my important point.
