Time for New a New PvP Server

Recommended Posts

This launch has been a disaster for most.  I applaud the stability of the 11,500 online.  But the majority of the server has spent more hours in Que than playing in the last 3 days. Would love to see you guys open up donations which im sure we would get insanly fast to run upkeep / hardware for a new PvP Server and implement it theres obviously way to many people for 1 fresh pvp server and the "fresh" pvp server isn't so fresh anymore with people already nearing level 50 and were all still stuck in que for 8 hours or unkown with authenticating issues...

After 2 hours of authenticating just got in and greeted by 4100 que great here goes more hours wasted sitting in que so in total  this will be today 5-6 hours.  last 2 days 16 hours of que....see where im going  anyways /endrant.

And who's gonna pay for the new servers? They will also need bigger team to work on the project and most likely more hardware. People say donations will help but most won't bother with donating even a single dollar. You have to remember it's a full time job and most devs work on the project after hours while they could be spending time with their families or getting laid.

While I agree another fresh pvp server would definitely balance out the queues and get people in game playing, rather than playing the queue game. To say the launch was a disaster is just flat out wrong. This launch, the biggest launch in WoW private server history (11k online 20k in queue on day 1), has been handled INSANELY WELL. There hasn't even been any downtime really. The servers have been stable the entire time, there hasn't been mass crashes or anything like that. And it's only been yesterday and today that the lag has shown up, and that's only because the server can't handle more than 10.2k active players in-game, without 2 second delay and lag etc. However that's easily fixed if they just cap the server at 9.5kish... like the pop we were playing at when we had 2k people at character select screen AFK. I miss those AFKers, they kept the server lag free, RIP. But aside from the recent lag, the servers have been insanely stable, even when under DDOS the first 2 days.

The only complaint people have is the queue time, but really there is nothing that they can do about that? It's not like you can just instantly create a stable lag free 30k pop server lmao. The only thing they can really do about it is to bring up a 2nd server to take the 13k people in queue everyday and throw them on a new server.

Everything considered, I'm incredibly impressed with how well and stable this launch has gone. I imagined far worse for this week. I assumed day 1 at 12noon the server is up, by 1pm it's down for maintained for 3 days. That's what I expected ...however it's been the exact opposite, which is super impressive.

Just because there is server full with 11.5k people, and you have to wait in line with 15-20k people to play...that doesn't mean the launch was a disaster. It means it was a success. Now they just need to bring up a 2nd fresh and spread that population around a bit.

Good post, Ntbud. I'm in the PvE crowd, though, so I hope they bring up another PvE server. PvP servers have always been a toxic experience for me, so they hold no appeal whatsoever. Either way, I agree that this is probably the most successful launch a private server could hope for.

A new server? Are you fucking serious? It's been out for 4 days, let the hype die down. It's always like this in the beginning, welcome to the private server community child.

Honestly, for a server who claims to be the new Nostarius...

Funny how there's like 10k people queuing for the fresh realm and yet there are 5k free spaces on the old pvp realm... if you are bothered that much why don't you just use a different server, you know there are 2 others on Elysium.

You guys... They respond on Twitter what they're doing, the Server was only down for Fixes and that also didnt took them longer than 30-60 mins top since launch, 11-11.5k People playing online with ok-ish lag.

They handled the Launch better than a lot of big Companys did theirs. (Hello Blizzard Error 37)

People will leave the fresh Server as soon as they recognize they can't lvl up in 1 hour after they hit lvl 20. Its just the Hypetrain passing throught.

The people that are 50 now don't matter to you, even if you reset the Server now and everyone starts by lvl 1 today they'll be out of your reach in 5 hours.

I think most of you should ask yourselves, "am I really the top 1% of players who can afford to grind like a madman?" If not, the new server doesn't matter. Play on the old one or which ever one is more stable and has less queue issues, because if you're not racing to be on top and can't afford to play all day, then it doesn't really matter than you're on a new server. Sure there might be some small things that are beneficial. The economy, the ganking, not being *sooo* far behind, but is it worth the queues and the flood of players?

Everytime I log into Nos PVP is hardly have any queue times and if I do it's nothing insane. For me, that's worth it. So think about why you really want to be on a new server and weight the pros and cons.

This is exactly why I chose for a slower PvE realm. yes it sucks that you can't gank but atleast I can play. I'll play on next fresh or in 2-3 months when elys fresh is slow and steady. Make your decision, hombre

It's not as easy as just opening donations and creating a new server. They might get the money needed but they need a way bigger team and man power to deal with another server. That won't happen overnight. Be patient and let's see how this turns out. Opening another server with the staff they have now would just slow things down for each sever in terms of tickets/bugs/etc
