Amfiketo 1 Report post Posted January 17, 2017 Why aren't donations enabled? I found that you can send money via PayPal, bit I don't have PayPal account. Why there aren't few ways to donate (wire transfer, credit/debit card)? Running such a project requires a lot of time and dedication. I see nothing wrong people who invest those to get rewarded with money. Even if 20% of the player base donates like 1$/month it will make up for some of the engagement of the staff. We are not talking about shops or anything as reward. I mean pure donation because you like something that's being brought to you. I tip in the restaurant, tip in the taxi and so on. It's the same. Since we are many, the entire project can be financed in such a way.

Amfiketo 1 Report post Posted January 17, 2017 @Vollfos Why? Did i write something funny? @arbet in my country (Bulgaria) it's a practice to round up the bill in a taxi (Example: bill of 7.23 BGN you give 8 BGN). That's not really a tip - most driver will just say: "Sorry, can't change those.." I think it's like that everywhere around the world..

Lehman Russ 13 Report post Posted January 17, 2017 (edited) This has already been covered. There are two ways to donate: A) You cover the cost of the servers for one month, roughly costing 1,200 Euro per month B) You make a donation via PayPal with any amount that you wish. GG EZ In addition, you don't have to have a PayPal account to make a donation. Make a one time payment as a guest. Shayss 43 Report post Posted January 17, 2017 I guess it should also be mentioned that, last time I checked, donations have been closed because within the first 24 hours of being opened they received enough to keep the servers running for 6~ months + surplus. If they need support for the server you can rest assured they will ask for it and nerds like myself will support it. Keep your money in a "tip jar" and use it when donations open up again in a few months.
Amfiketo 1 Report post Posted January 17, 2017 @Shayss you are right. My worries are entirely about the fact that the people keeping these servers running, do it simultaniously with their jobs. It's hard to work 40 hours a week and at the same time have the free-time and energy for running WoW project. I'll gladly donate so they receive some additional income, not only about server costs.
Greenkarma 1 Report post Posted January 17, 2017 They cannot make profit or will be shutdown,I guess. But I would like the way how to pay them some kind of wage's or dunno how to call it, tip? :p Otherwise they can get tired of this project, family pressure and other life stuff. It is only logical.
